I felt a warm breath on my face, I heard something too. I also felt something tickling my face a bit. It almost felt like whiskers! But it couldn't be... Could it?

I was half asleep and half awake, so I thought I was imagining it all. Maybe leftover feelings from my horsey dream. Once I started to wake up and my brain got back into gear, I realized that I was not imagining anything! My eyes popped open and I saw a big figure standing right over me.

"What?" I said out loud, really confused.

It was so dark I didn't even know what was standing there. The figure jumped back and squeals a little, and I then knew it was the horse... Hoku is what I named him.

"Sorry boy" I whispered quietly.

I kinda felt bad because I really startled him. He was still standing there though, just a little father away. I sat up slowly and reached my hand out to him, seeing if he would come any closer. He didn't come closer, but he didn't back up either, so I thought that was some improvement.

I laid back down, watching Hoku's retreating figure as he walked away to a little patch of grass and started grazing. I smiled to myself... He was so beautiful. I couldn't wait to get to know him better.

He was perfect.

★Authors Note: Ok there is chapter 5, and ew I'm so sorry it's so short and bad! I really felt the need to update for you guys since I haven't in a long time... So I'm really sorry for the yucky filler boring chapter!

By hey, it's the start to Hoku and Alison's relationship... I have very good plans for them both! :)

Someone asked me how I came up with Hoku's name and what it meant, so I thought I would go ahead and tell everyone what it means and where I found it. The word "Hoku" means star in Hawaiian, and I thought it would be the perfect name for the black beauty in this story! I got the name idea from a book I read ages ago, I can't even remember the title.

So yeah guys, sorry for the ugly chapter! I was trying to update fast, but I will start on another tonight and make it longer and better than this one. Nonetheless I hope you at least kind of like this one despite its terribleness. Thanks for reading my fabulous munchkins! :)★
