Morning came, the sun rose, and the birds started chirping their rhythmic and beautiful morning song. I sat up and stretched my arms above my head, giving a huge yawn in the process.
Hoku was still out in the field, but he wasn't grazing... He was standing with his head hung pretty low, his eyes looked closed.
"Guess he's taking a nap" I thought, watching him in awe.
He was truly gorgeous, like no horse I had ever seen in the books I had read or in the pictures I had seen.
I decided I should probably get up, eat some breakfast, maybe take some notes on Hoku in the notebook I had brought in my backpack.
I got up and fixed my rather messy hair into a high side ponytail (my usual style by the way) and grabbed a sandwich from my bag.
I pre-made a few sandwiches the day before the trip, and they still looked fresh. I took a bite and closed my eyes, chewing ever so slowly. Hey, they were amazing! I drank some water and then put everything away.
I pulled out my notebook and pretty blue pen. I opened the notebook up to the next blank page, clicked the top of my pen, and began to take notes. I did bullet points and noted anything about Hoku that I thought was necessary.
I wrote down his color, body shape, estimated height, markings, behavior, personality, and other things. And since I had plenty of time on my hands, I drew a picture of Hoku grazing.
"Perfect!" I said excitedly, looking over my work.
I actually did an ok job! It looked just like Hoku. I added a few finishing touches before putting the drawing away and taking my phone out to play some games.
I examined my choices: Subway Surfers, Temple Run, My Horse, Flappy Bird, and a few others. I finally decided on My Horse, my overall favorite game, and realized one of the horses I had bought previously in the game looked exactly like Hoku! In the game I groomed the horse, fed it, rode it, everything you can possibly do in the game.
After awhile when I had finished playing games and walked around a little bit, I settled back down and decided to start making a plan on what to do with my life.
"What am I going to do?" I thought a bit worriedly.
I mean, I had no idea where I was or anything. Thats kinda scary... Right? But then I realized maybe I could just stay here forever! I had a water supply (the stream near by) and I could just make my own food from the berries and fruit trees. I could use Hoku for transportation (once I trained him of course) and I had a place to sleep and things to keep me busy. I knew it wasn't that realistic, but it would have to do. I had no other choice.
I looked at the time on my phone; 11:45am. I looked at Hoku, who had actually wandered closer to me while I wasn't paying attention.
"I have the rest of the day to kill, I might as well start working on you buddy!" I exclaimed.
His head popped up and he studied me for a moment, before putting it back down.
I had read plenty of books on horses while at step mothers. She brought them back from the library every once in awhile, and when I wasn't doing chores or basically being a servant to step mother, I would read them from cover to cover. They had horse training tips in a few of the books, and I remembered a lot of the tips! I had just the idea with what to do with Hoku, he would be trained in no time.
"Let's get the started Hoku" I said with a smile.
I was so excited to finally have a best friend... And better yet that best friend was going to be my very own horse.
★Authors Note: Ok, there is the 6th chapter! And yay, it wasn't as poopy as the last one lol. :)
I'm still trying to decide how Alison is going to train Hoku, and what she's going to do with him in the long run... But whatever I choose I hope you guys like how it goes! Like I said before, I don't have time to make a draft for the book so I'm literally making it up chapter by chapter. Mistakes will be editing probably over the weekend when I have some more time.
The next update will probably be this weekend, so while you guys have time before the next update, please read the beginning of this book to this chapter of my book if you haven't read all of it yet. I updated the 5th chapter yesterday, so please go read that since most of my readers haven't seen it yet.
Anyways, if you want please leave a comment and/or a vote, those are always highly appreciated!
Ok, I'll wrap up this super duper long authors note now, hope you guys have a wonderful rest of your week!
Night my fab munchkins!★
