I awake to my alarm clock blaring on a nice Saturday morning. The warmth of my blanket so very tempting, beckoning me to stay in bed.
'No,' I think to myself, 'I should go for a walk near the woods, I've never been yet and should at least check it out.'
I get up and get ready, making sure I look at least presentable. I get a text from Sapnap, telling me that he wants to hangout later. Which is good! I mean, his house isn't too far from the woods so it would be good to walk there. So I respond and tell him I'll be there. I grab my keys and make sure I have everything before I go.
I head out my apartment complex and realize that Clay, my neighbour, isn't playing music. He usually plays 'Heat Waves' by Glass Animals around this time, but I guess he's not home. I continue on, pushing him out of my mind, and put some headphones in. I shuffle my favourite playlist and 'Fallingforyou' by The 1975 plays.
The slightly chill weather is perfect for a walk. Because I have some time to spare before I have to be at Sapnap's, I head more into the woods. As I continue on, I hear some sort of grunting mixed with what sounds like shovelling. I take out my headphones and look around. Up ahead, I see a figure with beautiful blonde hair burying an object. I grow closer and realize who it is.
"Clay?" I ask.
"Oh! Uh, George, right?" He replies, almost as if he's doing nothing out of the ordinary.
"Yeah! Uhm, what are you up to?" I ask, peeking behind him.
"Oh, nothing." He replies while running his hands through his hair. He looks a bit sweaty, not in a gross way, but in a pretty way.
Wait, what the hell am I thinking? I don't think boys are pretty. I mean I've never had a girlfriend, but that's just coincidence. I don't think my next door neighbour is attractive. Do I?
"Oh! Well, uhm, I gotta go. Gonna hang out with a friend." I trail off.
"I'll see 'ya around?" Clay asked with precious eyes.
"Yeah! Yeah..."
I arrive at Sapnap's house a bit late, but there nonetheless. The smell of pizza and the music blasting is a familliar feeling. Sapnap's house is a bit messy, but homey. I genuinely love it. I feel as if I'm not judged here. Sapnap approaches me slowly, almost a bit groggy; as if he just awoke.
"Morning, Sleeping Beauty." I jokingly say.
"Fuck you." He replies while glaring at me.
"Seems like someone just woke up." I say while messing with his hair.
"Look, you were supposed to be here earlier so I thought you ditched. Then, I realized it's a perfect scenario to take a nap! I took my chance and did it."
"Sorry man, I, uh, got caught up in something."
"Oooooh, George has a girlfriend!" Sapnap mockingly says.
"Sapnap, shut up."
"But you have a girlfriend!"
"Sapnap, it's not a girl; he's a boy."
A/N: Hey! I've decided to start writing! I'd like to stay anonymous until I finish this story? Book? Oh well. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this. I'll be adding to it whenever possible!
