Ch.8

When I went back to training, I didn't feel all that much of a change. I couldn't tell if anything was working, I spoke to Mom about it, she said it was working. "Hey!" I heard Angelica yell.

I was sitting on the ground & looked up. "So? Any results?" Angelica asked. "Not really." I replied. She sighed, "This is such a waste of time. Let's just ignore her when it comes to powers & just stick to the plan we set up, ok?" Angelica asked for confirmation.

".....Fine.." I said, rubbing my eyes from feeling so tired. "Come on, let's get some hocus lattes." Angelica suggested, holding out her hand. I took it & stood up, following her to the café.

*Time Skip*

Angelica & I were at the café & I kept playing with the cup that held my drink. I heard Angelica sigh. "What's wrong?" "Nothing.." I replied acting a bit bratty. "You do that when you're upset, what's the issue?"

"Fine, I'm just nervous." "You? Nervous? About what?" Angelica asked in disbelief. "That I'll fail, I don't want to fail my mother. Because if I fail her then I fail myself." I said. "Who cares, you'll be the new queen. You'd be powerful & do whatever you want. You can make the world bow to your will." Angelica smiled.

I smiled at the thought. "Come on Ms. Queen, let's get you the crown you deserve." Angelica confidently said, then stood up. I smirked & stood up, us both leaving the café.

*Time Skip*

Angelica & I were in my room, I locked the door so no one interrupted.
"So, how are we going to do this? You know Raven destroyed the real book." Angelica sat on the bed playing with her tarot cards. "Who said I can't bring it back?" I said, about to cast a spell.

Angelica sat up, "Ok, let's say you bring it back. How do you plan to do this without going to mirror prison-?" "I know what I'm doing!" I shot back.

"Damn..ok then..." Angelica said in an irritated way then laid back down.

I started the spell & my eyes fully turned lavender. The spell became very powerful, I almost couldn't control it.

Angelica sat up immediately. "Y/N stop!" Angelica noticed I was struggling, she went to grab me but she ended up burning herself.

Angelica pulled out a voodoo doll. "I'm sorry Y/N." Angelica squeezed the doll, causing Y/N to almost yell in pain.

The spell stopped & Y/N fell to the ground. "Y/N? Are you ok?" Angelica knelt down & held Y/N's shoulders.

Y/N turned her head & glared at Angelica. "I almost had it! What were you thinking?!" "You were in pain, & I needed to stop you, plus you could barely handle the spell." Angelica replied.

"It doesn't matter about me, if you keep ruining this, I suggest that you ditch the plan." Y/N got up & stormed out of the room.

Angelica sat on the ground & pushed her hair back in frustration. "I think it'd be best to leave her to me." Angelica turned her head & saw the evil queen in Y/N's mirror.

Angelica stood up angrily. "No way! You ruined her, you're the reason she's stressed & pushing herself so much that she's hurting herself!" Angelica almost blew up.

Y/N's POV

I went to the restroom & saw my hands were really red. I tried to clentch my fists, but pain immediately shot into the palsms of my hands.

The door opened to reveal Apple. "Are you ok?" She asked. "Fine..." I replied coldly. "Can I ask you a question?" Apple asked.

"I don't know, can you?" I said in an annoyed tone. "Why do you want to be the next evil queen? I mean if that's what you want, go for it, but why?"

I could tell that Apple really wanted her happily ever after, something was telling me that she desperately wanted me to follow my Mom's footsteps.

"Because I want to, my Mom's destiny is perfect but I believe I can make it better. Some people would say worse, but I believe I'd make it better." I said with a toothy grin. "What are you talking about? How could you make it better?" Apple asked.

"I would tell you but I know you'd say something." I said while using magic to heal my hands. "I promise, I won't tell a soul. That's a royal's promise." Apple was begging to know what I'd say.

After I healed my hands, I smirked at Apple. Apple started to get nervous. What had she gotten herself into??

I walked behind her & locked the door. I grabbed her shoulders & made her look into the mirror. We both looked at our reflections. "Let's just say, this world won't have any good left in it anymore." I smiled.

Apple started to tremble. "Seeing you tremble brings me so much joy." I continued smiling. Apple noticed the sanity slowly leaving me. "Y-Y/N."

"Shh, now that you know you won't tell a soul." One of my hands let go of Apple's shoulder & I started to whisper a spell.

"Wait-" "You agreed you wouldn't say anything, a royals promise was it? I'm just making sure you keep your mouth shut."
