Hello Readers,
Most of you will scroll past this (I do the same) but in case you are reading this note, hello! Welcome! I started this story because after finishing The Queen's Gambit in a day and then hurrying on to any fan fiction source I could find, I realized that there is a serious lack of writing for my favorite character, Benny Watts.
Now, there are a few things that I would like to make clear before you begin. First off, this is my first story, and while I've read many books on here, I am still trying to discover my writing style since I haven't written anything in years. So please, bare with me! Second, while I do encourage constructive criticism, I would like to emphasize 'constructive' . Too often do I see in the comments of other creator's stories do I find users belittling the works they are reading instead of giving helpful advice. So I ask that if you have a suggestion for the plot, or if you see any typo or error, please be mindful of how you are voicing this. And lastly, although I may have tons of creative energy in me now and am eager to write, I may fall off from updating once in a while, so please, hold me to this!

Also, IMPORTANT:
Like how Mr. Shaibel is a pivotal character for Beth with chess, Lucy's will be her teacher at Metheun's. However, I can't remember the name of the actual teacher from the series, so I guess I'm going to have to make a character up until someone corrects me.
