The door slams open as Dream enters, tossing his keys down on the counter.

"I fucked up," he announces loudly, striding into the living room.

"Woah, there," Sapnap remarks mildly, glancing up from his phone. His brow furrows as he catches sight of Dream's distraught expression. He sits up, making room for his friend on the couch. "What's up?"

"I – uhg!" groans Dream, running his hands through his hair. "George and I had our first fight," he explains, pacing around the room. "And it was my fault. God – why am I so stupid?" he mutters.

"Slow down," says Sapnap, frowning. "What happened, exactly?"

"Well –" Dream begins. He lets out a heavy breath. "We were at George's place, just talking. And – honestly, I forgot how we got there – but he mentioned something about moving in together. And I– I don't know. I blew it," Dream says exasperatedly, throwing up his hands. "I guess I got scared, or nervous. I've never had a relationship actually go that far before, so I guess I kind of... panicked."

Dream speaks animatedly as he paces, gesturing wildly with his arms. "I made up some dumb excuse about not wanting to move because I already had a roomate," he continues. "Which is stupid, of course, because I'd move out to live with George in a heartbeat – no offense, Sapnap –"

Sapnap waves his hand dismissively. "None taken."

"– but that isn't even the point!" concludes Dream, finally coming to a stop in front of the couch. "I couldn't care less about where either of us lived," he says, his eyes wide and pleading. "I just don't want this to be the start of some kind of rift between us."

Sapnap gives a small, understanding smile, patting the seat on the couch beside him. Dream lets out a long exhale, finally slumping down onto the cushions. "We've just never fought about something serious like this before," he admits. "I'm worried, Sapnap. What if things never go back to the way they were between us?" Dream lowers his head into his hands, letting out another strangled groan.

Sapnap wraps his arm across Dream's shoulders, giving him a light squeeze. "I'll tell you what," he says. "I think the best thing for you right now is some alone time. Take a walk, clear your head, think about what you'll say to George when you see him next. And while you're at it, you could stop by the mall, and maybe buy him an apology gift or something."

Dream sits up, letting out a long sigh. "You're probably right," he mutters, rubbing his eyes.

"I know I'm right," Sapnap replies airily. "Come on. You guys are like, the most inseparable couple I've ever seen! It's going to take more than this to break you apart. Trust me."

"I guess..." mutters Dream. He shakes his head. "No – you know what, you're right," he says suddenly, standing up. "Thanks, Sapnap – really, thank you!" he calls hurriedly, rushing back towards the door. "I'll find George a gift, apologize, and... it's going to be okay!"

"That's the spirit," replies Sapnap with a grin. He waves as Dream departs.

Just as he settles back down on the couch, his phone rings again.

"Hello?" asks Sapnap, picking up on the first ring.

"Sapnap!" exclaims George, raking a hand through his hair. "I'm so glad you picked up. Listen, I need your help."

"Oh?" replies Sapnap. George doesn't miss the undercurrent of amusement in his voice. He ignores him for now, deciding that there are more pressing issues at hand.
