"Earth to Akari? Hellooo∼"

Amethyst irises pearl a hue of rosé upon someone's waving hand in front of her vision, finally fluttering her lashes away from the school's window. She removed one of her earphones to have her friend's full attention. She could half-hear her classmates chatting, moving their desks and chairs around while her music still played — waiting for class to begin.
"Whats up, Mia?" She lowered the volume down to realize she had it on really high.

"Daydreaming again, huh? " She set her school bag down before turning her chair around to Akari's pupil desk and moving it closer.

"What are you thinking about?"

"Nothing. Im just listening to music." she shrugged her shoulders, and decided to turn off her iPod and put it away in her backpack. "Youu∼, on the other hand," Akari sat up straight to look at Mia, "you almost came to class late again."

She had set her elbows on the flat wooden surface with her palms on her cheeks to pucker her lips. "Still meeting up with your senpai?" then creates smooching noises.

"Shut up!" Mia blushed as she shoved Akari's shoulder lightly when she giggled. The brunette has lowered her forearms down and crossed them over each other on the small table to listen the blonde blabber about their senior. "I met up with him at track and field practice, and I gotta tell you that he is hot wearing a singlet!" she gushed and squealed excitedly.

"He is so toned and lean! You should've seen him!"

"You always say that everything he does, has and wears is hot." Akari said in a boring tone to tease Mia more. "Next?" she yawned.

"Fuck you!" Mia tried to flick her forehead, but Akari dodged and sneered at her failure. The blonde huffed and sat back down to question: "Have you ever thought of dating, Akari?"

"I went on small dates before."

"Did you get a kiss from the guy? Make-out?"

"Uh we did both."

"Well?"

"I haven't thought of taking a relationship seriously. Its not gonna last forever, in my opinion."

"Why not?" Mia raised her hands up high when the Akari hummed all the through her friend's interrogation, "We are almost half through our freshmen year! You should have fun at high school while it lasts! Get to explore? you know? " she said it with a smile and encouragement.

Its no wonder every boy in school has a crush on her. Her personality is stupendous and outgoing. She is pretty too. Meanwhile...

Akari glanced away to ponder in thought. She slouched in her seat, and removed her hands away from her desk to look at them on her lap. Her small hands turned into fists and closed her eyelids calmly. Her youthful features shifted to a grimace to only remember her troubled past and prevented tears from escaping too.

"I just want a normal life."

"Whats that?"

Akari flinched. She looked back up at her only friend with a wide smile.
"Nothing!"

"No! That out there" her finger pointed out the window the brunette was looking at earlier.

A dozen of birds flew away to take the skies as the school's atmosphere went dark due to an black hole spewing out a gunk of ink, surrounding the whole school in a invisible dome. A chill went down Akari's spine.
