a small rant on racism

alright guys this'll be a little bit more serious as it applies to not just fandoms and online but real life, with politics and people. this is my opinion so please dont attack me that would be great thanks. 

now for a good while now, theres been a lot of stuff on racism. i mean- we have the BLM stuff right now currently, as well with in the art community and diversity stuff. i watch stuff with drawing and commentary in it because its calming for me, kind of like story time but not animated. just a voice over. so something ive seen come up a lot is something called reverse racism. some people say it doesnt exist- some people do. i have to be part of the group that say it does NOT in fact exist. what the heck would reverse racism even be?? NO racism??? like it doesnt make sense. racism in fact however does exist. 

most people would define racism as whites against people of color, since that is the most heavily shown one in the media and history books. however- people like to define REVERSE racism as poc against white people. which- once again that doesnt make sense what so ever. lets look at the ACTUAL definitions of racism, and i'm going to go to several different sites and such and  see what they say. i will not go to urban dictionary obviously, i may not have to say that but i'm  going to. 

oxford languages definitions: "prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized."

"the belief that different races possess distinct characteristics, abilities, or qualities, especially so as to distinguish them as inferior or superior to one another."

Merriam-Webster definitions: "a belief that is a fundamental of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race"

"the oppression of a racial group to the social, economic, and political advantage of another"

dictionary.com: "a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human racial groups determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to dominate others or that a particular racial group is inferior to the others"

ALL the definitions say nothing about white people against people of color. they just say that its a belief that someone's own race is SUPERIOR or BETTER then another. the only one that even slightly supports that the only form of racism is white against poc is oxford dictionaries. even then it says "typically" which isnt always. this therefore makes the belief that racism is only towards poc false. racism, in fact,  can be towards any race and FROM any race. for example: black people can indeed be racist towards white, asian, and latino people. as well as for any other races to be racist towards any others. now- i am not in anyway discrediting that racism towards poc still exists. of COURSE it still exists. it shouldn't no but yeah a small - very very small portion of people are racist towards poc- as well as other races racist towards others other then their own. HOWEVER- the world has gotten so much BETTER with the amount of racism there is!! theres more rights for so many people for every race and sexuality and gender!!! thats a lot of progress, and i think that should be celebrated. yeah theres still racism, its never gonna be perfect. all we can do is just treat everyone EQUALLY. no matter what. let me elaborate what equality means as well. it means EQUAL.  not one race higher then the other, not one gender higher, or religion or lack of one, it means equal. which means white isnt higher then poc, poc arent higher then white, straight isnt higher then gay, women aren't higher then men, men arent more superior to woman, gay isnt superior to straight. in fact- why the hell do we even make it so theres a difference???? we are ALL people. we all deserve to be treated with respect, no matter what. reverse racism doesnt exist. but racism does. and any person of any color skin can be racist to any other race. most people think racism is only, for example, towards black people against white people. they think that because of slavery in america from 1776 to 1865. however- did you know that ACTUALLY people in africa were one of the first to have slaves? no not of white people, but of black people. they were taken as prisoners of war from different tribes and used as slaves. then they were sold off too the english men years later. you think they were gonna go in there? nuh uh- they didnt know the african terrain and couldn't map it. slavery is an awful thing of course- but its not just white towards black. chinese/asian/japanese people (cant remember which one sorry) had slaves of their own race too. slavery is still in the world today. my whole point is anybody can be racist to anyone. if one race is chosen over another for a job SIMPLY because of their race and not of the skills they have-thats racism. if someone is treated differently because of their race, THATS racism. if someone is called names and made fun of or slandered SIMPLY because of their race THATS racism. and this goes for ANY RACE out there. not just black people, not just asian people, not just white people, not just latino people. EVERYONE. 

what i'm about to say may be controversial and i possibly will get a lot of hate for it. but i'm going to say it anyways. 

All lives matter. 

every, single, one. every race, every gender, every age, every sexuality. 

everything. 

of course black lives matter. of COURSE they do. EVERYONE matters. 

why cant we stop judging people based on their skin color, and actually judge them based on their personality? for jobs, on their skill set. for politicians, what are their POLICIES. we need to stop differentiation by color of skin because why the hell does it matter??? were all unique and different in our own way. we all have different personalities, and hobbies, and morals. 

everyone matters. why cant we say that? doesnt everyone matter?
