There Hoseok was, feeling the soft breeze hit him comfortably and calmly on this beautifully delicate day. This definitely wasn't his first time on the family's boat since summer began, but he didn't realize it would be the last time he ever touched the water again.

Everything felt like a euphoria to Hoseok; the way the boat would rush past the water, creating waves. The sparkle the sun laid on the water, making the water look as if someone tossed glitter into it. Even the rustle of the leaves that came from the green filled trees along the shoreline.

Hoseok looked back at his family, admiring the way they were all laughing and joking with each other. Their family was perfectly bonded to the point it felt as if they had already hit their perfect ending like families at the end of movies did. Little did Hoseok know though, his story was only beginning.

Looking back at the water, Hoseok closed his eyes and enjoyed the breeze that flowed off the water and through his hair. Everything felt perfect to him... Everything was perfect at that moment.

After some time, Hoseok's father turned off the engine to the boat in the middle of the lake to help preserve fuel. Hoseok didn't mind this of course, watching as the rushing waters that helped move the boat slowly came to a stop, allowing a beautiful still water to take over. He ran his fingers through the water, playing with the water as if it was a piece of string.

Hoseok's older sister, Jung Jennie, walk over to where her brother sat, sitting beside him and watching him play with the water for a moment before speaking up. "Everything okay?" She asked, making sure that he was happy as he hadn't really talked to his family since they got on the boat. She knew his mental health wasn't the greatest, so she made it her priority to make sure her kid brother was okay.

Looking up from the water, the brown haired boy nodded, smiling happily. "I'm good, you just know how I get with the water," He spoke. It was true, the water made him mind think differently. He felt more at ease on the water and used the water as a coping mechanism when he was upset or having a bad day.

Jennie nodded, looking out at the beyond in front of them. She squirmed her eyes a little as she saw a boat out in front of them. The boat was speeding through the water, slowly becoming larger and larger.... Coming straight toward the family's boat. She turned to their father, a look of concern and slight fear overcoming her, "Dad? Is it just me or does this boat look to be getting closer and closer to us?"

Their father looked up from the conversation he was having with his wife, humming happily as he walked over. He stood on the edge of the boat, shielding his eyes from the sun to get a better look at the boat. After a moment he ran over to the boat's engine, attempting to turn it on. After the several tries, the engine wouldn't start up.

The now not-so-distant boat was still speeding towards the Jung's boat at what felt like the speed of light. By context clues, everyone on the other boat was drunk and never even saw the tiny boat in front of their path.

As Hoseok's father realized it was too late to save the boat, he tossed his family members into the water where the raging boat wouldn't hurt them. Right as the boy's father was about to jump to join his family in safety, the alcohol filled boat crashed into their boat, crushing their father in the process.

As the two boats hit each other, the Jung's boat was completely totaled due to how big the other boat was. Metal and wood went flying, thankfully not hitting any of the family members. Through the whole situation, the family had their eyes glued to the boat, seeing if their beloved father / husband would make it out alive.

Upon the realization that he didn't make it, Hoseok started sobbing, screaming for his father. By the time the bigger boat passed, the now dead body was sinking to the bottom of the lake for all to see, as the lake was so clean you could see the bottom.

A stream of blood followed their savior, blurring out the sight of the beloved man that sacrificed his own life to save his family's.

In that moment, Hoseok wanted to sink with his father. A pain went through his heart, one that he had never felt before. A pain so harsh one may have thought it was a heart attack.
