You had always had your eye on the Black boy. Regulus. If your housemates knew they would tease you to no end. Everyone at Hogwarts knew Sirius was the hotter Black brother. His crazy mane of black hair, his crystal blue eyes, and his mischievous smile that quite literally never left his face- it was true, Sirius was very attractive but you just didn't like him in that way for whatever reason. Maybe it was the fact that last year you caught him snogging that Lupin kid who was always with Sirius and James. But, whatever the reason may be, you were drawn to the youngest of the brothers. He had his brother's curly dark hair but Regulus wore it shorter than Sirius, though it was still long enough that you found yourself often daydreaming of what it would feel like to run your hand through it. Regulus' eyes were green and seemed to be accented by the green of his robes and tie. He was more lean than Sirius and was quieter, which you appreciated. As hilarious and James and Sirius could be, if you were around them too long you felt exhausted by their energy that never ran out.
Your daydreaming was interrupted by none other than Regulus Black, elbowing you just under the ribs.
"Y/n, I said do you want to be partners?" he asked. You blushed under his intense stare, but quickly regained composure and remembered what he had just asked you.
"Yes!" you squeaked, your voice coming out much higher than you had intended it to. You cleared your throat before continuing, "Yes, I would love to be partners!"
You smiled at Regulus, and to your delight, he smiled back before turning to his potions book and listing ingredients.
