My eyes shot open and I realized I had fallen asleep. I felt myself wince a little as I looked down to the small source of pain I only knew so well. A small blade in my hand pressed deep in my skin. Blood streams down my hand and to my elbow. It drips off and to the floor the hot red liquid staining the wight carpet.
"Ugh, damnit, your such a dumb ass, I stained the carpet. Aunt mitos gonna see this." After silently reprimanding myself, I wash off my arm satisfied with my dirty work as the blood mixes with water and begins its journey down the sink.
I grabbed the small price of carpet we used as a bathroom mat and took it outside to be hosed down. I knew a stain would still be there. Might as well through it out. I was on my way to the bathroom before I was stopped by my aunt. "Gon,? What are you doing with the bath mat?"
Argh god damnit.
" oh heh hey aunt mito! Great morning isn't it?"
"Yes it's rather lovely out here but may I ask again what you're doing with the bath mat?"
" w-well I was just throwing it away."
Why?
Because I stubbed my toe and I got blood on the rug I couldn't get the stain out, and I don't want any visitors to freak out when they see a blood stain sooo

" um well ok then, but is your foot ok may I see it?"

Jeez that was close. If my aunt found out what I've been doing she will totally freak out. She's already stressed enough. Gaahhhh this is all your fault instead of helping her you just make things worse by worrying her.

I run into the forest. My feet hit the wet ground and soak my shorts as I run over a puddle.
I find a big tree I grabbed onto it with my hands on its sides, my face lifted back like a catapult as I'm about to slam my face on the trunk. Swinging my head forward my skin Meets with the tree bark shark loose pieces of it bravo off and fall on the floor while splinters dig into my now bleeding skin. Once more

Last time
I'm about to lunge myself forward for a final hit until I hear my aunt screaming in fear.
"GON WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!!! PLEASE STOP !"
She dashes to me tears in her eyes her arms crossing her chest and legs barely able to carry herself as she grabs me by my shoulders and holds me close.
"Why did you do that, are you ok why did you run away honey answer me please!"
I couldn't keep up with her questions I just held my head down. And sobbed into her shoulder.
"Aunt mito?..."

"Have you- have you ever wanted to die?"

This is my fault I should have been here for you. I saw the signs. I knew you were In pain. I didn't know what to do so I just let it go.
