This was for a paper for class.

I get off the ship to the sight of bluegrass at waist level as far as the eye can see. Mixed in with the grass, there are flowers as bright pink as bubblegum, emitting a scent, as sweet as sugar. Looking at the sky I can see stars as bright as the sun on earth, while the sky is white as a lily. Looking to the left, I can see a huge city on the horizon, buildings as tall as mountains, to the right, an even larger city.

I step off the platform into the grass to see that it is softer than a kitten, and tickles the bottom of my feet. I see a few medium-sized trees behind the ship as I walk and see around. They have a large, round fruit on them, comparable to a firetruck in color. My mate walks over and grabs one and takes a bite, before immediately spitting it out. He yells out to everyone that it's a lot sourer than a lemon, and we chuckle.

We pile into a truck and start driving to the city on the right-side. As we get closer I can see a sign that says, "Never wallow, Population 4,143,095." We stare at the sign and chuckle at how many people are in one town. As we drive into Never wallow, I smell the sweet smell of cookies, cake, and bread. Most of the buildings appear to be made out of pink and blue metal, with little signs of wood or stone.

We get to a parking garage and start to walk around the city. Walking down the street, I notice that I cannot see any people inhabiting the city. I can hear people, but whether I watch to the left or the right, I don't see anyone or anything. I ask the crew if they see any people and tell them that I can't, they nod and tell me that they can. I gaze at every one of the shops we pass and can hear some people working and talking, the second I go to a window, it's gone. The crew glance at me concerned when I notice they are fading from view as well.

I shut my eyes for a second, and when I open them, everyone is gone, and I am in the field that we landed in. I turn around to see the ship is gone, somehow the fruit my mate ate is still sitting on the ground. I slowly begin to hear a loud ringing in my ears, and it continues even as I put my hands over my ears. I close my eyes and lay down on the ground to try and stop the noise.

I wake with a shout, panting heavily and on the verge of panic. I shake my head to try and clear it, then reach to my headrest to turn my alarm clock off. I try to remember my dream so that I can figure out what happened, sadly it fades from my memory. I look around my room and notice the fruit that was from the tree on my bedside table, still as red. I look around more started than before, but can't see anyone nearby, "How'd that get there?" I say out loud. I suddenly hear a noise from my closet, and I open it and scream.
