And in the night you call out to me,
Voice travelling over silken dreams and swollen promises.
The night lies still,
Her bosom heaving underneath the shimmering starry robe.
You call out, a faint whisper.
Miles away, the wind carrying your voice.
And in that split second, I have known you.I have loved you, touched you.
Kissed you a thousand times over.
This is the unbeaten promise of a thousand life times,
I am assured.
Soft, we lie
Burdened by the truths we carry.
You ache, I cry out
You whisper, I respond.
We have done this forever.
We are inching closer, my love.
Day by day, night by night.Broken teardrops that cut us when we lay on the pillow,
Desolate hearts, battered and beating still.
Lonely hips rocking, the release never a relief
Because all we ached was for this.
You for me,
Me for you.
Stay still darling, as the night wraps us tighter
Daylight is just beginning to seep in
And when it does, meet me halfway
And I'll remind you that I have loved;
You,
A thousand, million times over.
