This takes place at a high school, on picture day.

You took another step forward in line, watching with a sigh as the male at the front stepped in front of the white backdrop, gave a smile, and had his photo taken. Looking into the bright, nearly blinding flash that took place, you closed your eyes. Hearing a barely audible sigh behind you, your eyes opened again. As someone cleared their throat, you took another step forward, getting closer to having your own photo taken.

"Hey, brat." You turned around, hearing someone say this. Looking at the person from which the voice had come from, you stared at him.

"Yeah?" You asked, brushing aside the fact that a complete stranger had just called you a brat.

"Why aren't you smiling? Someone take the last good fitting size for your pretty little picture day dress?" Your eyes narrowed before you turned away from him.

"Hey, I was just asking. So why don't you smile?"

You rolled your eyes, saying nothing to him and taking another step forward.

"I asked you a question."

"I don't even know you. Why should I answer?" You asked, turning your head and looking at him over your shoulder. He shrugged.

"I'm just curious. And if you want to know my name so badly... Then let's make a deal."

You cocked an eyebrow up. "A deal? Like what?"

He smirked slightly. "I can tell that you don't remember how to smile very well. When was the last time that you did?"

You tried thinking back, to a time when you didn't have to force the smile that you so often had to show. "Can't remember, can you?" He asked. You shook your head.

"No. I can't... Not well."

He nodded. "In that case, let's make a deal. You seem curious about my name. I'm curious about what you look like when you actually show emotion. So, brat-"

"I'm not a brat." You interrupted him. He rolled his eyes, before continuing. "So, here's what I propose. You smile for your photo, and maybe, just maybe, I'll tell you my name. Deal?"

You bit your lip. 'A smile for a name... Yes or no?'

You shrugged before nodding. "Deal." He said nothing more, keeping his gaze directed at the front of the line. Taking the final step forward, you felt him nudge you up to the front.

You suddenly had to try to remember what it felt like to smile. You bit your lip, following the positioning instructions of the photographer, and as he raised his hand, you glanced back at Levi quickly. He gave you two thumbs up, and you turned back to the photographer. A name for a smile. The thought of knowing his name gave you a small spark of happiness, and you continued to think about it. Hearing the word, "Smile," come out of his mouth, you did just that.

You flashed your teeth, this action tugging the corners of your lips up, and for the first time in a while, you realized that this was what it felt like to smile again. Looking into the camera, you suddenly felt a bit of happiness, giving your best, genuine smile.

The photo was taken, and you walked off. 'Simple..' You thought. 'That's all that it is to smile..?'

Watching from a distance as the male's photo was taken, your eyes widened as you saw the typically expressionless male flash his own smile, and you smiled again. As he walked away from the back drop, he walked towards you, gently taking your arm.

"Where's your next class?" You pointed to the hall on the left, and he began walking that way. You looked over at him as you two approached your classroom.

"Hey... You promised me your name." You stated. He nodded.

"I did... Didn't I?" You nodded. He stopped walking, looking around, before looking back to you.

"Name's Levi. Happy?" You nodded, a small smile appearing on your face once more.

"Levi... I like that."

"What about you? What's your name?" He asked, though he didn't sound the least bit curious.

"[Y/N]."

He smiled slightly, this smile seeming more real than the one he had shown the photographer. "Beautiful name." You blushed lightly.

"Thank you..." You said, highly unused to complementation. He gave you a nod, still standing in the center of the hallway. You glanced to the direction which Your classroom was in.

"Oh. Right." He said, seemingly forgetting that he was supposed to be walking with you to your class. You sighed softly.

"I should get back to class," You mumbled unhappily, leaning against a wall. "But I really don't want to."

"You've got to. Come on." He said, taking your hand and starting to walk again. The blush that had appeared on your cheeks only a moment ago grew darker as you walked with him, holding his hand back.

Nearing your classroom, he stopped again. "This is where we say goodbye. I'm sure we'll see each other again, though." You nodded.

"Yeah. It was nice meeting you, Levi.." You said softly, a smile threatening to show once again.

He leaned forward, giving your cheek a gentle kiss. "You too, [y/n].. We'll see you around. Your blush turned into a dark red, and you smiled at him. He walked off, a small smile on his own face. Leaving you a blushing, smiling mess. You set a hand on your cheek. 'Levi... I like that name.' You thought, smiling, before walking into class again.
