Chapter 3: A Night to Remember with Voices

(Aki's P.O.V.)

Time flies fast it was getting late since we spend the whole day at the orphanage. I couldn't believe that I messed up on confessing to Yusei.

I swear I'll get Jack and Crow for ruining my chance, but still it was close. I could see Yusei with Jack, Crow, Rua, Ruka and the others as they were enjoying the stories they told when Yusei, Crow and Jack were little. I could see him laughing with the others as Crow told a funny part.

He looks happy then before, I have never seen him this happy. But seeing him like this makes me smile and makes me feel better that he is enjoying himself.

However he wasn't like this when we arrived. I have noticed when he was working on his runner early when he was preparing for the duel he had, he seemed kind of down as if something had upset him or something. Anyways; right now I'm happy that he is happy. And enjoying himself with us.

(Yusei's P.O.V.)

It was getting late. It sure was nice to have spent time with everyone I know and love. I'm also thankful for Aki to have kept me company, although I do felt bad for snapping at her like that. I wonder why I reacted like that? I mean she was just trying to help me while comforting me. I slowly began to feel awful for what I did.

I didn't know why? But lately I have been feeling strange as if something inside of me was making me feel uneasy. I tried to ignore the feeling, as I didn't want to let it bother me. Everyone gathered around at the table for a toast.

"I raise this glass in the name of our victory and for Neo Domino's salvation." Jack announced as he raised his glass as well as me and the others. "Not only that but we owe this for our fearless team leader, The Hero who saved this city and the most important member of Team 5d's, Yusei Fudo!"

Everyone turned to my attention all smiling at me. I was happy for this but I didn't do it alone, if it weren't for my friends I wouldn't have found the strength to defeat Z-One and save the city. It was our bonds that saved the city not just myself.

"Yusei, this one's for you, Bro." Crow said. "For being the best friend and the most important person in our lives."

"We are all glad to have such a wonderful person as yourself in our lives." Said Martha. "Yusei, you really have grown into a strong young man. I'm sure your parents would be proud of you."

"To Yusei!" Rua and Ruka cheered.

"To Big Brother, Yusei!" The orphans cheered as well.

"Everyone, Thank you." I said with a smile. "But I couldn't have done it without all of you for being there for me. If it wasn't for your support and help I...No...We wouldn't have found the strength to save Neo Domino and the whole world."

I could see Martha giving me her biggest smile and off course Aki as well. My sight focused on her, as she smiled her most beautiful smile ever. There is no one in the world that has a beautiful smile just like hers.

Everyone else also cheered, I never knew just how much I was loved. I have done a lot for my friends and for Neo Domino but why do I feel like it just wasn't enough. Or for some reason it wasn't worth it.

'Because you still feel like you're a burden, you still feel like you have nothing to live for'.

I gasped as I heard a dark voice that came out of nowhere. That voice sounded familiar, where did that voice come from?

"Yusei." I snapped out of my thoughts as Martha called my name.

"Are you okay, dear?" she said concerned. "For minute you looked like as if you've seen a ghost."
