Chapter 4: Tomorrow comes with Trouble

(Ruka's P.O.V.)

School had ended and boy was my brother glad about it. We exited our classroom and walked down the hall since we just said goodbye to our friends in class.

"Finally!" Rua shouted in his hyperactive voice. "I'm so glad school is over. Now I can have my dual with Yusei today!"

I rolled my eyes on his remark. Same old Rua, but yes today we are supposed to meet with Yusei, Jack and Crow today at Popo time. But I still wonder about what happened at the party yesterday? When Yusei gave his toast he had a strange look on his face. As if he was spooked by something? I thought to myself hoping that he is okay, after all my brother and I both looked up to him as well as Jack and Crow.

Anyways we continued walking until we saw Aki walking with her back in front of us, she was wearing her red duel academy uniform. Rua and I ran up to her.

"Aki-chan!" We yelled until she got our attention. She turns around and smiled at us.

"Rua, Ruka." She greeted as she bended down at our height as we each gave each other a small group hug.

"How are you both doing today?" she asked kindly.

"Oh you know the usual." I answered. "We had to do a pop quiz today and Rua here didn't do so well."

"Hey!" Rua exclaimed.

Aki giggled at my brother's outburst. "Oh Rua." She replied. "Study hard next time so you can do better."

"Anyways besides Quizzes and all." Rua said. "Are we going to see the guys today? Or are we just going to stand here all day talking about boring school stuff?"

I sighed; he can be stupid and clever at the same time. All he ever thinks about is dueling and becoming the best like Yusei, Jack and Crow, but I can't blame him since he did help us defeat Aporia and became a signer when He, Jack and I were dueling.

"Okay let's get going to the guys place." I said. "They should be expecting us."

"Okay then." Aki replied. "Let's go."

"Finally." Rua replied being relieved.

With that we walked out from the academy and walked toward our destination. As we walked I noticed that Aki had a happy expression on her face. I don't know why but I think it has something to do with Yusei. Of course since the others and I know she has a big crush on him.

But I wonder if Yusei feels the same for her? We kept walking; I came beside Aki while Leo was in front of us.

"Aki." I asked as she looked at me. "You seem quite happy today. Did anything happen in class that made you smile like this?"

"No not really." She replied. "It happened yesterday after the party."

"Really" I said questionably. "What happened?"

Aki sighed at my question, although her sigh sounding happy.

"Yusei escorted me home." She answered. "I asked him, he said yes."

"Yusei escorted you home?" I asked. "Awe, that's so nice of him. Is that the reason you're so happy today?"

Aki stopped at her track. I stopped and looked at her in confusion only to have her looking at me kindly.

"Actually." She said. "When we reached to my house...I...how should I say this?"

Aki answered in a way being a little embarrassed on what to say next. She was tapping her two index fingers together also I noticed that her right foot was tapping on the concrete floor.
