HINATA'S POV

Listening to music always helped clear my head. It washes away all the bad thoughts. When I started writing my own music, I never could have imagined that it would speak to so many people. Reckless was never my first plan. Of course, I wanted to play volleyball, but I picked up a guitar and never looked back. I even dragged some of my friends into it with me.

The Reckless house could be quite chaotic, but every day was pretty much the same as the one before. My days started with Bokuto loudly playing his drums at ten a.m., though none of us were bothered by this. It was pretty much our wake-up ritual, and our days usually ended in a writing session.

This day was a little different though. I wasn't woken up by Bokuto playing his drums at ten a.m. I was woken up by a phone call at 8:37 a.m.

          Bzzz. Bzzz. Bzzz.

I rubbed my eyes and picked up my phone, squinting at the brightness.

          Kei Tsukishima.

It was unusual to say the least.

          "Hello?" I yawned.

"Well don't you still sound like a child?" He chuckled lowly.

"If you were going to insult me, couldn't you just have texted me? What do you want anyways?"

He sighed, and it was silent on both ends for a few moments before he spoke.

"I need to talk to you about something, but it'd be better to talk about it face to face. I know you're busy with your shows and all, but are you free anytime soon?"

Busy with my shows? I was quite famous, but I never knew he'd paid attention to it.

"Um... it's not for anything weird, is it?" I ask.

"No. Not at all," he responds.

          "I'm free all day today."

"Café near Ukai's old shop. Two p.m."

And then he hung up, without giving me a chance to respond.

"Cutting conversations with me short as always I see," I muttered to myself.

I sighed and ran a hand through my hair before getting up and making my way to the bathroom. I did all the usual things a person would in the morning, then made my way downstairs and into the kitchen.

"Hey hey hey! What are you doing up so early?" Bokuto greeted me.

"It's not that early, Bokuto, but someone has plans today," I replied.

"Plans? With who? You never leave on our free days."

I shrugged and opened the fridge. I looked around before deciding on yogurt and a banana. I turned and leaned against the island to see Bokuto staring at me.

"Is it Kageyama? You guys haven't hung out in a while."

I felt my chest tighten a little when he pointed it out. It was true, but I didn't want it to be. The truth was that we were both busy, and it was hard to make time for each other. A lot of the times when I asked if he could hang out, he had practice.

"No. He has mandatory practice today," I responded.

"Then who?" He asked, raising a brow.
