(Y/N's POV)

I was completely lost in thought as I folded the last of my sweaters. What am I doing? This is insane! Aware that I couldn't actually start a relationship with him because I was too young and that I was his student. Come to think of it, I had completely forgotten to celebrate my birthday during this hectic year. The 27 of September. Counting with my fingers, I reached the number 14. Oop. Boy was I getting "old".

"(Y/N)! Are you done yet!?" Hermione called standing behind the closed door.

"Almost!" I replied, stuffing my sweater into one of the bags that was given to me by Severus. The door handle turned and in comes the bushy red head. Sitting on my bed she turned to me.

"I still can't believe that you are spending your holiday with that greasy git. I truly pity you." Hermione snapped, her eyes holding a place of concern.

"I'll be fine. I promise I'll write to you." I said, grasping her hands in mine and giving her a smile. She returned a sweet one and headed out. I sighed, staring at my luggage. Believe me this is going to be one hell of a journey. As I bent down to pick up a bag, a hand brushed mine.

"I'm sorry." I turned my head to find Severus beside me. Picking up the bags he walked out of the room hurriedly without another word. Oh my lord, help me please.

I could feel my heart thump wildly in my chest as I gripped his arm tightly, apparating to his place. I stared at the grim looking place. The house looking like it was about to collapse at any moment, Severus pulled out a key from his pocket he twisted open the lock to reveal a tiny living area with a fire place. Severus gestured for me to enter as he closed the door behind us.

Scanning my surroundings, I found a bookshelf to my right, brimming with books. There were so many that it spilled into piles on the floor. Taking off his jacket, Severus placed it on the couch in the middle of the room. Turning to me, now in his white button up and black vest, I could not help but feel the heat building up inside of me. He strutted towards me, almost pinning me up against the wall, only to reach for a stool behind me. "Here you can sit." He motioned to the couch as he positioned the stool and sat down. Waving his hand at the fireplace, it immediately lit up, burning a bright orange as ambers picked up a crackling sound.

"Over this holiday, I am going to be teaching you advanced magic so that you will be able to defend yourself. I hope you will understand if I am exceptionally harsh on you." Frowning, he stared at me intently, burning me with his charcoal eyes. "Also when's your birthday?" He asked softly.

His question took me aback. To be honest, I hadn't quite thought of it myself. Come to this of it I was almost 15. I had turned 14 on the 10th of September the year before. "It's the 10th of September," I whispered, avoiding his gaze afraid that he might peer into my mind and see my unholy thoughts of him.

He gave me what I assumed was a smile. "Go and rest I'll start lessons tomorrow." Not waiting for a moment to pass, I skipped to the corridor, eager to find my way around the house.
