I must have drifted off into a deep sleep, when I heard my alarm go off. I jolted up with fright from the loud sound. That means that it is 8am.
I rolled over onto the empty side where Cara usually sleeps. She leaves at 7am to go to work, she is a waitress at the local diner.
I was still shaking from the after effects of my cure last night, it is not even out of my system yet and I am craving more, the rush that it gives me is unlike no other.
My stomach was growling with hunger, for actual food, but I ignored it. Typical thing that a druggy would do, crave nothing but his cure.
I got off the bed and headed towards the bathroom, reached behind the toilet and grabbed my package, i looked at the block in my hand. It was taped closed with the razor inside the package. It was obviously a rough job as i had to be quick last night when Cara arrived.
I gently tore off the tape, and the aroma filled my nostrils, before i even started I could feel the rush. Just like before, i empty some onto the table and carefully using the razor blade, i separate the white substance into five lines, thicker than before for a higher rush. As i leaned forward, by breaths slowed down, i blocked the one side of my nose and began inhaling through the other. One line at a time, the feeling of the substance burning up my nasal passage was so amazing.
I heard a knock at the door.
Fuck.
I quickly exited the bathroom and locked the door, throwing the key on my bed.
I opened the front door to see Ethan, my twin, standing behind it.
He looked at me in confusion before even greeting, and had the decency to ask;
"What are you baking?"
My heart felt as if it fell out of my chest. Shit.
I laughed and shrugged,
"Nothing, its headache powder."
"I never knew that existed?"
"Well now you do, Ethan." I grunted as i moved letting him in the door.
He walked in and fell into the sofa grabbing the remote to turn the TV on.
"What the hell are you doing?" I asked, raising my voice in annoyance.
He jumped with fright.
"Shit, what does it look like dude?" He said as he continued to switch on the television.
"Whatever, I'm going to lay down." I said, remembering I told him I have a headache.
I left the living room to go to the room, get the key and finish up what I had started.
I locked the bathroom door behind me, and finished up my last line. It was then that I felt good.
I packed it all nicely, got the tape out of the cabinet in the corner of the bathroom, and taped the package closed, with the blade on the outside of it, neatly. Placing it behind the toilet once again. I took a quick shower, the warm water dripping against my toned abs giving me goosebumps, Finished up and dried myself walking into my room with just my towel because I forgot my clothing. The sound of the Tv still on filled the house.
I pulled out my grey sweats and a white shirt, nothing fancy because Im just going to lounge around the house like I usually do.
"You awake?"I heard Ethan coming closer,
"Yes, what do you want?"I mumbled.
He walked in the room and asked me if I wanted to play xbox, thats an offer i never resist.
We got the XBOX set up and chose one of my favorite racing games.
I won the first race by far because Ethan kept on crashing, as usual.
We were now on the second race, my car crashed into one of the barriers.
"Fuck it man."I yelled, trying to turn the car back onto the road steadily. I was shaking too much so it wasn't going very well. No matter what I tried I got angrier each time I crashed, the blood boiled in my veins making my face red.
Ethan cheered, "Finally I win" He whistled.
I sprung up of my chair grabbing Ethan by the collar.
"You cheating little swine," I grunted through my clenched jaw. He looked at me with disbelief.
His eye brows furrowed and he gasped, as if he was absolutely dumbfound by what was going on.
"You always have to be better than me dont you?" I let out a sigh and threw him onto the couch.
"What the hell?" He yelled, grabbing his stuff and storming out the front door.
That was not me. I had absolutely no control over what I just did. It felt as if a wave had overcome my whole body and took control, kicking me out completely.
I knew what had just happened, I was just too afraid to admit it to myself.
My little friend. Little Miss Cocaine.
