Another hour passed and Sebastian and I carried on dancing and making small talk like we previously had been before I began to grow tired and the yawns began to fight their way out.

“Shall I walk you back?” Sebastian asked and I nodded as a way of thanking him and accepting his offer. “Come on then” he told me directing me to the back exit.

I took in a deep breath as the cool night air hit my face and it showed me just how hot it had been within the room. I shivered slightly at the loss of temperature and Sebastian clearly noticed as he shrugged off his blazer and handed it to me.

“Oh no it’s fine” I rambled but he shook his head and continued to gently drape it over my shoulders that were bare other than the thin straps holding up my dress.

“Shall we?” he asked holding his hand out in the direction of the path and I nodded. We walked in a comfortable silence with only the sound of a couple of crickets and the distant sound of music coming from the main house to accompany us. As we reached the final turn for my cabin Sebastian shook his head and guided me up a different turn.

“Let me show you something” he informed me and calmed my worries about where we were going.

We carried on up the hill in the same silence that we had been in before until we reached a clearing. I took a step over a fallen tree trunk and the view almost knocked the breath out of me. I felt Sebastian’s eyes on me as I stood completely astounded at the view in front of me. The large lake illuminated by the moon gently nestled between two mountains filled my eyesight and I couldn’t help the gasp that was released from my mouth.

“It’s….” I started before realising I had no idea how to end the sentence.

“I know” Sebastian replied showing me that he had understood what I meant to say but could simply not put into words.

“You can see for miles” I continued stating the obvious as I rushed across to the railing so that I could truly appreciate the magnificent view.

Sebastian chuckled behind me and I continued to stare across the great landscape making sure that I took every single inch of it in. As I look down into the undisturbed lake I could see the sprinkling of stars reflected into it and I couldn’t get my mind around just how beautiful this place was. The peace and serenity was interrupted by the sound of a ringtone and I turned around to see Sebastian fiddling around in his pockets until he withdrew a phone from it. He smiled apologetically at me before pressing the answer button.

“Hello” he answered warmly which informed me that he knew the person calling him.

“Yeah I have a spare” he informed whoever he was speaking to with a questioning look on his face.

“Oh yeah, I’ll be right back” he replied before hanging up.

“I’m really sorry” he apologised to me and I smiled back at him. “I need to go give my uncle the spare key to the dining room as he’s locking it up now” he informed me and I nodded to inform him that I understood. “I can walk you back….” He started but I shook my head.

“No it’s fine, I sort of want to stay up here if that’s okay?” I half asked and told him.

“Yeah that’s fine, just make sure you get back safe okay?” he told me with a hint of worry in his eyes and I laughed.

“Don’t worry I know my way around” I told him chuckling and he nodded.

“Okay well if you’re sure…” he started before I interrupted.

“I’ll be fine” I reassured him and he nodded again.

“Okay, well see you around Tori” he said politely before dashing off back down the path until the sound of his feet hitting the gravel became distanced and I was left in silence.

I stayed up on that spot for a good half an hour before the breeze began to get harsher and colder and I decided it was probably best to head back to my chalet. I headed off in the direction that Sebastian had previously gone and was beginning to wish I had taken him up on his offer of accompanying me back because the path was a lot longer than I had remembered.

“I’ve already fucking warned you” I heard and my footsteps came to a halt as my breathing and heart rate increased.

A groan followed the previous statement before it was quickly followed by another that was just as loud. I moved off the gravel path and let my feet carry me to wherever the sound was coming from.

The groans got louder which told me that I was heading in the right direction and I stopped as I noticed two figures stood behind a concrete building which I seemed to remember being a spare store room that was rarely used due to its position being far away from the house. I stood behind a tree not wanting the two people to be aware of my presence. A sharp breeze drifted through shifting the trees and allowing the moonlight to focus on one of the figure’s faces. Harry’s. I bit my lip in order to stop the gasp that was wanting to escape.

“I told you I would get you the good shit if you could pay up” Harry spat at whoever the other person was before delivering another punch to the gut.

The boy at the end of Harry’s punches doubled over in pain but this didn’t stop Harry.

“I can’t afford to just waste good fucking shit on broke low lives like you” Harry continued before enforcing another blow to the stomach.

This time the boy fell to the floor and I watched in horror as Harry continued to kick him as he lay on the floor.

“You have 24 hours to get me that fucking money or I swear me beating the shit into you would be the least of your worries” Harry threatened before giving a final kick the torso.

The force of the final kick shocked me and I couldn’t hold back the gasp that escaped my lips. Harry’s head snapped up into my direction and I held my breath behind the tree that was keeping my cover.

“Fuck” Harry cursed to himself and I heard what I presumed to be him running away from the scene.

I let out the breath that I had been holding in and when I thought the coast was clear I decided to uncover myself from my hiding position and begin to head back to where I was staying. I left the house at about 11 so I had no ide what the time was now. I stepped from behind the tree and automatically felt my body collide with another. I went to scream at the shock but no sound came out as I felt the large palm of someone else covering my mouth.
