Is It Too Late?

Jess's POV 

10pm

I feel really bad about letting the fans down but I'm so scared i don't understand who could hate me or Conor this much. My phone beeped again for the 3rd time today i read out the text to myself while Conor was downstairs 'I want you to get me the money I'm owed, Conor will know what i mean - bring me £5,000 or your friend gets it' I shivered as i looked down at the picture of lily tied up in a dark room unconscious. Lily? I thought it was one of the boys or even me they wanted. I have been such a horrible friend to lily i don't even remember the last time we spoke how could I just forget about her i'm such a shit friend after all the years shes been there for me, well now its my time to be there for her.

I got up and sprinted downstairs ready to show Con and the boys the text when my phone beeped again 'Don't tell Conor or your friend will be gone within the hour bring the money here at 11 tonight at 67 willow field tower bye Jess' I began to walk up the stairs shaking as i tried to get dressed and put on a fake smile I'd have to wear for the rest of the day. This is one thing i have to do on my own Lily needs me and i just hope Conor will understand that and my life will finally be back to normal - well as normal as it can get.

Conor's POV

I don't know whats up with Jess today i mean shes being so brave acting as if nothing has happened. I know its not right but i need to look at her phone I'm sure shes keeping something from me, why would she do that?

2 hours later 

Midnight

Jess's POV

Conor was asleep next to me, he looked so cute and innocent just lying there I had to slowly move his arm away from my waist as I crept out of bed getting changed as quick as i could praying no one would hear me, my phone beeped again making me jump and making it harder to face what i was going to have to do. As i read the message i shivered 'its time Jess you better have the money or it wont just be Lily that's in danger'. I grabbed my bag full of the money-all the savings i had, forgetting to even bring a coat or a phone and running out the door to the address.

Conor's POV

1am

I woke up to an empty space next to me.. I was right something was up Jess had kept something from me, i just pray she hasn't done something stupid. I crept out of bed but soon noticed a light flashing on the floor - her phone. I picked it up and saw the messages she had been getting all day, i cant believe this, i can't believe she has gone to deal with this herself without telling me after everything I've done to help her. I am so angry at myself for not noticing what Jess was going through it must have been so hard for her to keep it away from me.

Jess's POV

1:30am

I arrived at the flats and was buzzed in but there was no voice on the speakerphone. I opened the door and walked up the stairs my heart beating 100 times a second. I knocked on the door and it was opened by a tall skinny man, i didn't know what to do or say and just stood there for a minute until he said "You have the money?" to which I nodded and walked in. He began speaking and i just stood there looking at Lily tied to the bed post unconscious shaking, until i heard him mention Conor.. "You see i knew Conor back at school we was great mates best friends you could say, i knew he had a good voice and encouraged him to sing so we set up that you tube account and look at him now big star and wheres my credit? living here in this shitty flat?!"He shouted kicking the table "Not any more so give me the money and you can go, we will be in touch." But before i could reply I saw a shadowed figure step into the room a girl about my age i recognised but i couldn't remember where from. She walked up to me and i handed her the money as i watched the man untie lily, "all here?" he said i just nodded again still in shock of what was happening. I began to walk over to Lily but before i had even taken my second step i heard the girl whisper "Conor's mine bitch" and fell to the ground as she smacked me round the head.

Conor's POV

2am

I arrived at the flat and knew exactly where i was - it was Emma's my ex girlfriend it then came flooding back to me all the memories we had shared and the happy moments i thought it was love then, but i know now after meeting Jess and what we have been through that i was wrong I've never felt this way about anyone before and if Emma has done anything to hurt Jess she will be sorry. I stepped into the flat as the door was half open, half closed and spotted Jess on the floor with blood around her head and Lily laying on the bed beginning to wake up yet there was no sign of anyone here. I ran over to Jess and held her in my arms and as tears began to fall down my face i heard a familiar voice - it was Emma. I knew this wasn't gonna end well as anger came over me i pressed speed dial on my phone and began to ring the boys leaving the phone hidden by Jess as i stood up to confront Emma in the hope that the boys would hear and get some help. 

"Conor baby, I've been waiting for you to come home. Long day at work?" Emma said leaning in for a hug. "What the fuck is wrong with you Emma you're messed up do you realise what you've done" I spat pushing her away. "Oh I've done far worse con, i had a boyfriend remember? Danny? He's gone now i mean did he really think all i wanted out of this was the stupid money you 'owed' him for helping you, all them years ago? No its time for us to be together again, without that stupid bitch" She replied pointing to Jess. "She was the only thing i could use to get to you" She added spitefully. 

Jacks POV

i woke up to the familiar ringtone Conor had set on his phone for when he rings me. I picked up the phone but it wasn't the usual 'whadupp bro' i could hear a familiar voice - Emma. I knew Conor was in trouble so i called the boys in and we listened to her little speech on speakerphone. She killed her boyfriend? That girl is messed up. We all looked at each other and knew what we had to do. We ran.

Conor's POV

"Your mental Emma i would never get with you again, yeah we had good memories but they are memories I love Jess and I'm sorry you feel this way but don't hurt her please just take the money i don't care take anything, just leave us be"

Jess's POV

I began to stir at the sound of Conor's voice mentioning my name and i realised where i was. He has came to rescue me, this boy was the one i cant believe he came here for me i would never forgive myself if i let him get hurt but i decided to lay still for the right moment to come.

Conor's POV

Emma's face suddenly turned a lot more sinister as i said i would never get back with her and i noticed a shiny blade in her hand - she wouldn't would she? I began to try and calm her down, let her have what she wants when the buzzer rang and the familiar voices of my boys shouted up. We both raced to the buzzer so i could let them in and i succeeded, this was the end we had finally won. I heard them pounding up the stairs ready to rescue Jess but why was i falling to the ground? I looked down to see a pool of blood around me and realised. She'd stabbed me.

Jess's POV

I looked up as i heard the footsteps of the boys coming only to see Emma pierce the knife through Conor's side, a rush of emotions came over me and i couldn't hold back any longer. I ran over and pushed Emma into the hallway with the biggest force i could only to watch her trip and stumble down the stairs to her death. I ran back to Conor and held him in my arms begging him never to let go, i cant believe this is all happening because of me. "I love you con" I said as a tear fell down my cheek and i began to fall back into unconsciousness from the sight of blood.

Jack's POV

We raced into the block of flats the second we arrived to find Emma at the bottom with a pool of blood surrounding her and a knife in her hand. The second I saw her i didn't even care if it was an accident that bitch had caused far more damage, i just prayed that Jess and Conor where okay. We reached the flat to find them laying in each others arms and Lily waking up on the bed, i saw the blood around them and thought this is it, there gone.

Liam's POV

We ran into the flat to find Jess and Conor laying there, Jack just froze but my instincts kicked in. "ambulance and police please" I said to the emergency services operator as i questioned whether it was too late.
