I woke up in a bed in a small room. I remember falling asleep in the car. We must be in his friends house.

I looked down at the floor and saw a blanket and pillow laying there.
Kye must've slept in here

I heard talking outside of the room so I got out of bed. As I walked out the door I noticed the house was very modern like a suburban house.

I walked around the corner and saw a women talking to Kye

"Good morning sleeping beauty" He said, and I noticed he was wearing a suit.

I eyed him up and down, All of the sudden feeling underdressed(still wearing black jeans and a T from earlier)

"Hi" the women spoke walking towards me "I'm Kyes friend, Jules" she held out her hand and I shook it

Jules had dirty blonde hair that went past her shoulders, she was very pretty.
"You must be Venus. Kye talks about you, a lot" She said smiling at me.

He talks about me. I looked over at Kye, he had his hand on the back of his neck. He looked nervous

I looked back at Jules "It's nice to meet you" I said, happy to be in someone's presence who wasn't going to kill me, and who wasn't kye.
"How do you guys know each other exactly?" I said now thinking about it

Me and Jules walked to where Kye was standing.

"Forever, our families new each other he's practically my brother" she said as she punched him in the arm

"Sadly" he mumbled staring at the ground

"So" she said breaking the silence in the room "have you two kissed yet or?"

My cheeks got red, ugh I hate when this happens.

"Jule" Kye snapped as he elbowed her. She started laughing hard

She tried to gasp out words while she was laughing "Your-Face-Kye" she kept laughing

I looked up at him and he was also blushing. He was cute when he blushed, especially since he usually doesn't show that much emotion. He is super stubborn when it comes to emotions.

I stood there awkwardly as Jules finished laughing. "I'll leave you two alone" she said walking away with an evil smile.

"I'm sorry about her she's jus-
He went on to say something but I interrupted him

"She made a good point" I said not thinking about what was coming out of my mouth. But I didn't stop it. "You still haven't kissed me"
I crossed my arms and walked away

Haha I though to myself who's the cocky one now.

I walked outside looking around at the view. We we're definitely in the middle of nowhere, surrounding the house was just plains. Not trees. Plains. Empty grassy plots.
I sat on the porch steps and watched as the birds flew over the feild.

I heard footsteps coming by me and immediately assumed it was Kye.
I looked over and Jules sat down by me

"He likes you" she said looking out at the field.
Her hair was blowing in the wind

"What?" I scoffed " no"

She rolled her eyes and looked at me. "I sware he likes you. He never ever acted that way around any other girl I've met."

I looked over at her and back at my hand. Fiddling with the ring.

"Listen, I'm sorry your all involved in this" She spoke up

"Its fine" I said looking up "I've gotten used to it anyway".... that was a lie, but I don't like when people sympathize for me.

"I hate when people sympathize for me too, I just felt bad" she said.

Wait can she hear me?!

"Oh yes I apologize, I can get into peoples heads like that" she shrugged "runs in the family, I just forgot you didn't know" she laughed

"Ah makes more sense" I sighed

"Welp I better go inside" she said getting up

I sighed and looked back out to the horizon. It was another decently hot day, but not to bad. It was slowly transitioning to fall, so the weather was battling itself.

"Wanna go pick up something to eat" I heard a voice behind me and saw Kye standing by the door

"Hopefully I don't get kidnapped again or anything" I joked standing up.

He locked the door with a set of keys and started walking off the porch

We walked to the car and got in.
Well this isn't awkward at all I thought to myself, considering what I had said earlier.
After a very uncomfortable drive to eat, we finally made it and picked something up through the drive through.
I had to keep my head down the whole time, due to being a missing child case and all.

After we got the food i told Kye about how me and my grandma used to go by the lake and pop the trunk to watch the sunset. Since his car had a very small trunk you couldn't sit in he suggested we sit on the grass.

"How's that?" Kye said laying a blanket down on the grass

"Perfect" I smiled heading over to him with the bag of take-out

We sat down and began eating. It was nothing fancy just burgers.

"I dont know about you" Kye said with a full mouth "but this is pretty good"

I laughed "Yeah considering we haven't been able to have a peaceful meal in days"

Then we started chatting about school. About what we thought of each other before the whole mess went down.

"I can't believe you thought i was cool" Kye said, wrapping up the trash from what we just ate. "I mean i am cool, Obviously" he shrugged smirking

"Shut up" I punched his arm and looked over at the sky. The sun wasn't quiet setting yet, It was only like five o'clock, But it was getting there.

"Beautiful" Kye said beside me

"I know right" I said, not looking away from the horizon with all of the trees

"No" Kye said, I felt a hand grab my chin, making me face him. "Not the sky.. You"

shit I felt my cheeks go red again and i began to smile. I moved my head out of his hands and looked away

UGH.

"Your cute when you get all flustered dont hide it" I heard him say, while i was looking away

"Shut up, am not" I said looking back over at him

"Yes" he defended

"No"

"Yes

Then Kye leaned in grabbing my face and started kissing me.

At first i didnt know what to do, But then i kissed back. It just felt... right
