Chapter 14

*Jakes POV*

So I spent the day avoiding Kayleigh. And hang out with Colton.

"Dude. How's you and Kayleigh?" He nudges on the shoulder.

"Dude. We are not dating. Besides I like somebody else." I sorta hint.

"Ok man tell me. Who is she? Do I know her?" He fires questions at me.

"It's not a girl." I admit. Since I've spent time at this school I've checked out a bunch of guys. Without meaning to. So I have came out to my parents. They laughed and said good luck having babies.

"Oh. Then who is he?" He seems pretty calm about this.

"Cole." I say quietly.

"Dude. I think he actually he is gay. But why not ask Kayleigh. She hangs out with him a lot these days. Maybe, like, ask her." It's as close as I'll ever get to advice. So I'll take it.

The next time I see her I'll ask. Hopefully she'll get it.

-The Next Day-

I see her walking down the halls with her earphones in bobbing her head back and forth. I know it's One Directions new song 'No Control' it's ok. I like that its a fast beat. I walk up to her and say.

"Is Cole gay?" I just came right out and said it. Good job me.

"Are you?" She follows up.

"I asked you first. And yes, judge me later." She starts to squeal like a girl and I wonder why.

"Do you know how big of a crush he has on you? I ship you guys hardcore!"

He likes me?! He actually likes me?! I'm so happy right now. I feel a wide grin appear to my face. Kayleighs face lights up so much.

"Ask him out." She demands instead of asking.

"Yes. I'll do that now." I walk straight to Coles locker and ask.

"Will you go out with me?"

"Umm yes." He answers shyly.

I peck him on the cheek and walk away to classes until I get thirsty. It's not the greatest feeling in the world. So I just skip school all together and go hunt. This will take awhile.
