Flashback
As you were training and dominating in practice effortlessly defeating enemy after enemy thrown at you which was easy being raised by Ronin the Accuser he was merciless and cared not for who you are but only what you could do and today you could do something for him which made you useful
Ronin: "Y/N I'm sending you to meet with Thanos you will be sent on a mission to retrieve an item with Nebula"
Y/N: "When will I be leaving"
Ronin: "Immediately stupid child"
As you grabbed your sword and placed a small laser pistol in your holster and threw on your signature leather jacket with a grappling hook just in case of emergencies, as you climbed onto your ship and flew off to your jump point you tried to stay positive thinking about how at least you don't have to go on a mission with Gamora you preferred Nebula and you were both relatively calm around each other whilst working well together. You reached Thanos' ship Sanctuary II you docked your ship and climbed onto his making your way to his operations room.
Thanos: "About time you showed up boy I was almost done waiting"
Y/N: "Apologies it won't happen again" you paused scanning the room not seeing Nebula "Ronin informed me Nebula would be joining me on this mission"
Thanos: "Yes she will but she is occupied with bettering herself"
That only meant one thing you knew he was shoving more and more machinery into her and it made your blood boil you wanted to cut him down where he stood but the door opened to reveal a limping Nebula you ran over to her side to help her
Nebula: "I'm fine Y/N really just that idiot Maw doesn't know how to reassemble me" she reached down and twisted her leg making a disgusting crunch sound but began walking fine
Thanos: "Alright you two will collect this device (as image was displayed on a holo-cron screen) and return it to me and if any implications arise I doubt you will hesitate to dispose of them understood"
You both nodded as the Sanctuary II reached the planet where the device was located you and Nebula headed down to retrieve it so you decided to talk to her on your journey
Y/N: "How have you been since I last saw you it's been a few months"
Nebula: "I'm fine same as I always have been just with a few more spare parts"
Y/N: "Well if my opinion matters at all I'd say you look quite beautiful with or without the robotics (you were someone to say whatever was on your mind)" you swore you could have seen the faintest blush on her beautiful blue cheeks
Nebula: "you don't really mean that I look like a hunk of metal"
Y/N: "No I do mean it" you turn her body so you're close to each other only a few inches apart
Y/N: "Your body is beautiful with curves in all the right places and I could stare into your eyes all day" as you ran your hand across her cheek down her body where you placed your hands on her hips as with each word you faces grew closer you closed you eyes waiting for her to close the distance but nothing came
Nebula: "Well would you look at that there's the town" you turned your head down in defeat
Y/N: "Yea I guess it is"
It was well guarded and had an electrical fence and guards all around
Y/N: "I propose we wait till night disable the fence and sneak it once we have the orb we flew back to the ship"
Nebula nodded you told her to grab some sleep and that you'll keep watch as she fell asleep you couldn't help but admire how beautiful she is
1 hour later
You wake her up she shuffles a little but eventually wakes you tell her it's time to move as she gets up as you scope out the building you see a breaker box around the side as you both shuffled towards it you began to fiddle with wiring one false move and you could be hit with a couple thousand volts of electricity the last wire was cut and you tested the fence and no shock you and Nebula jumped it ran towards the building with the device knocking out a few guards along the way as you hit the building it didn't seem to be well guarded other than a purple electric shell around it you weren't sure how to retrieve it but Nebula shoved her robotic arm through and grabbed it without flinching her arm came out burnt and crackling you reached into your backpack and pulled out a water bottle and held her hand which made her look up at you as you poured the water on her arm as she smiled and blushed a little just then an alarm went off and you and Nebula began to book it towards the fence but the had turned on the electricity again you grabbed her and told her to hang on and she hesitated but did and you climbed the fence getting electrocuted every time you're hands hit the fence but you got over weak and weary you felt like you couldn't go on you passed her the bag with the device inside
Y/N: "I can't go on much further you have to go"
Nebula: "I can't just leave you here they'll kill you"
Y/N: "and if you don't get the device to Thanos he'll kill you and that's a trade I'm ok with making" you were on your knees weakened Nebula tilted your head up and smiled
Nebula: "I'm sorry I didn't do this earlier" you were confused but then she pulled you into a deep kiss her lips soft and tasted oddly like blueberry your new favourite flavour as you two separated
Y/N: "Now go before they get us both"
As Nebula fled you just watched her with the last bit of strength you had she looked back at you with worry but kept running and then things went black
~Flashback Over~
Cut to present day you reflected on that day thought about meeting Nebula again but matters at hand were the fact that Thanos had snapped his fingers a few weeks ago and now Carol is looking for Tony or other survivors in space (oh yea did I mention I'm an avenger now) (4th wall break) you could feel tremors in the ground and ran outside you saw a ship landing as a panicked and exhausted Tony walked out of it you looked past him to see her you ran to her and she jumped into your arms as you both passionately kissed each other just holding each other in this embrace never wanting to let go.
5 years later
Tony figured out how to time travel and everyone was recalled to the main avengers estate after all this time you spent with Nebula you spent everyday loving her and you got married even but that was put on hold when you all got called back as you were discussing the 6 stones the soul stone came up and you knew the price of it (to sacrifice that which you love) one of the most steepest prices and as you scanned the room you realised that no one else other than Nebula and yourself could pay the price and you knew what had to be done as you volunteered yourself and Nebula for the job she didn't seem to mind that much hopefully she doesn't know the price best it stays that way.
1 week later
You and Nebula arrived on Vormir to collect the soul stone and began to climb the mountain once reaching the top meeting a floating red type figure you drew your weapon along with Nebula
???: "Son of M/N and Daughter of Thanos"
Y/N: "Who are you"
Red Skull: "I am Red Skull I lead those to a treasure I cannot posses to gain the soul stone you must give up that which you love a soul for a soul"
~10 minutes later~
After a while of arguing with Nebula you both agreed that it must be true that one of you must die for that stone
Y/N: "It has to be me" Nebula disagrees there has to be another way you shook your head
Y/N: "If this works then you could get your group back the guardians I don't have anyone other than you and knowing I got to spend even just a few years with you will let me rest easy" her eyes welled up with tears as you placed your signature jacket around her and kissed her one last time and jumped off the edge closing your eyes and smiling
As Nebula awoke with time stone in hand she cried and screamed in sorrow for her loss teleporting back to her time to meet with the others as the survivors all met up Nebula passed the stone to Tony and walked off with Y/N jacket wrapped around her to go be alone
as she sat by the water she says to herself
Nebula: "I never even got to tell you I'm pregnant Y/N.
