Arknights: From the Wastes

Chapter 3

Kal'tsit and Amiya were walking towards the lounge to find the Doctor/ Courier. It had been two weeks since the Chernobog operation and their new Doctor/ Courier was fitting in well. It took them a while, but they finally managed to get him to accept being called Doctor.

After walking in, they found him surrounded by operators and patients alike. He was currently telling them some stories about his time in the wasteland. That was another thing that happened. It had came out that he was actually from another world, which resulted in people coming up to him to hear what it was like.

He had been telling them stories ever since. He seemed to have a bunch of them. Considering that he traveled a lot, he most likely does indeed have a lot of stories.

That wasn't all. He gave them the recipe for what he called a "Stimpak". A syringe that could heal a lot of injuries with just one injection, depending on the injury. He even shared other medicines that he brought with him. They drastically helped operators out in the field and thanks to him supplying the ingredients, they could make, produce, and sell some of them to make more money.

Anyway, Kal'tsit and Amiya stood nearby and waited for him to finish his story. They had already heard this story. It was about how he had to brave a haunted villa to get to a closer off casino call "the Seirra Madre".

After he finished his story and noticed them, he got up and walked over to the two. After motioning for them to follow, Kal'tsit led them out into the hallway where she told them that she would be going to Lungmen ahead of them for a meeting.

That left them with about six hours before they had to move again, and by the time they reach Lungmen, Kal'tsit will be finished with her first meeting and waiting for them to arrive for the second meeting.

After confirming that, he left for his office, where he found a very interesting sight. For some reason, Red and Lappland were in his office. Well, Lappland was in his office for some reason. Red was most likely there for her daily fluff fix.

He could see Lappland behind his desk with Red on the other side and every time one moved in one direction, the other would try to follow. It was a very amusing sight to see. Unfortunately he had work to do, so he got their attention.

"Red, enough. You can pet my tail. Lappland, why are you here?" He asked.

Red immediately stopped and ran up to him and started petting his tail while Lappland explained.

"I was just minding my own business-." She started.

"Bullshit." The Doctor said.

"I was!" She whined.

He raised his eyebrow. She pouted at him.

"Anyway, I was minding my own business when this one showed up in front of me and started staring at me." Lappland said.

She then went on to explaining Red chased her all the way from the dorms to here, where she had hoped to lose Red in his office. Unfortunately she had no idea the fluff hunter was right behind her, which led to the sight that he had seen when he entered.

After getting everything sorted out, Lappland left his office and went back to the dorms to sleep, and Red sat next to him, petting his tail while he did his paperwork.

After about an hour had passed, Red left. Either to find another Lupo operator or go and rest.

He had gotten some visited from other operators, but most were there to give him reports from their missions or requests for something new to the dorms.

There we go. Not a long chapter, but this is mainly filler until I can come up with what I want for the next chapter. I'll see y'all the next time I update!
