yadā yadā hi dharmasya glānir bhavati bhārata |

abhyutthānam adharmasya tadātmāna sijāmyaham ||BG-4.7||

Whenever and wherever there is a decline in righteousness or religious practice and an increase in unrighteousness, O descendant of Bharata (Arjun), at that time I descend and manifest myself on earth.

paritrāāya sādhūnā vināśhāya cha duhkitām |
dharma-sansthāpanārthāya sambhavāmi yuge yuge ||BG-4.8||

To protect the righteous, to annihilate the wicked, and to reestablish the principles of dharma, I appear on this earth, age after age.

ananyāśh chintayanto mā ye janā paryupāsate |
tehā nityābhiyuktānā yoga-khema vahāmyaham ||BG-9.22||

There are those who always think of Me and engage in exclusive devotion to Me. To them, whose minds are always absorbed in Me, I provide what they lack and preserve what they already possess.

sarva-dharmān parityajya mām eka śharaa vraja |
aha tvā sarva-pāpebhyo mokhayihyāmi mā śhucha||BG-18.66||

Abandon all varieties of dharma/religion and simply surrender unto me alone. I shall liberate you from all sins and karma; do not fear/worry.

The main inspiration for this book actually came from an Instagram post, back in December 2020, when I first began writing the initial few chapters.
So, the post wasn't something new, but a modern-day caricature of Krishna and Balram in everyday tees and jeans. Dau even had a serpent tattoo.😁 I am not kidding!
Seeing that, an idea unfurled in my mind. Of course, it did (thankyou Govinda for that). 🤷‍♀️ An idea grew into a dialogue which in turn gave rise to several characters and beautiful scenes😁

Through the years that followed, many more ideas poured in and old ideas were revamped, and after four excruciatingly long years, both for me and my dear readers, here I am. Finally, brave enough to take the plunge and begin the story. This is a story that is very, very, very close to my heart in so many ways. Hope I do justice to all my readers, who've waited this long for an update, to myself, and to Hari.

The above verses from Bhagavad Gita and that simple Instagram post inspired this story. And for that, I'll eternally be thankful.🤗🙏
