here are a couple of the most popular methods. just ask if you'd like me to elaborate on one :)
remember that you don't need a method, though, but they do help most people.
the raven method
lie on your back in a starfish position, with none of your limbs (arms/legs) touching. count to 100 or from 100 while repeating affirmations between each number, or between every few numbers. once you are done, affirm until you feel you are in your dr, or until you fall alseep. you can count as many times as you like.
this method works best on your first few tries, so if you stop getting symptoms, try it with another method.the double staircase method
visualise yourself walking up a staircase with paintings of your cr memories on the walls- you are leaving these memories behind. once you reach the top of the staircase, look into a mirror where you see your cr self and say goodbye. turn around, open the handle to a door emitting a blinding light, and walk through it to another staircase, this time leading down.
as your dr self, look at the new paintings, this time of your dr- you are embracing them. once you reach the bottom, meet an important person from your dr. they will take your hand and ask if you're ready to leave. if you are, say yes, and they walk through another doorway of blinding light into a room of people from your dr.
walk through the room to one final door. the person who led you into the room will say they can't go through the doorway but will see you on the other side. walk through to your dr or wr.
this may seem overcomplicated, but once you try it it's pretty easy to remember. it's very powerful, so please try it a couple of times!the train method
picture yourself on a train going to your dr. this one is good for hogwarts, because you can visualise the hogwarts express. make sure you're comfortable and repeat affirmations. look out the window and see scenes or memories from your dr playing out. once you feel you have reached your stop and are in your dr, open your eyesthe julia method
start by meditating for 5-10 minutes, and then repeat 'i am' affirmations. these are affirmations which start with 'i am'. for example, 'i am in... i am a student at... i am friends with...' ect. when you start getting symptoms, start visualising your dr. this is a no sleep method, so simply open your eyes when you feel you are in your dr.the sunni method
lay down in a comfortable position and both visualise and imagine yourself in your dr. you have to feel everything around you- the pillow, the blanket, the sheets, the air and the atmosphere. feel like you are already there. visualise, imagine and affirm until you fall alseep. you should wake up in your dr.the cup method
fill a cup with water and label it as your cr. write how you are feeling in your cr (lonely, bored, stressed, scared etc.). it doesn't necessarily have to be bad. if you'd like, you don't even have to write how you are feeling. next, label another cup as your dr. keep this one empty. write how you will feel when you're there (safe, loved, excited, happy etc.) pour the water from your cr cup into your dr cup and drink the water as you think about your dr and what you wrote on the cup.i find this method very good for my mentality- it really gets me into a shifting mindset so i use it before i use other methods to shift.
