I finally made it to my locker, I put my books in my locker from my last few classes and kept my binder. I closed my locker and Kayla was leaning against the locker next to mines waiting on me. "May I help you?" I spoke. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you about Sane or warn you about him as well. I was so glad to finally have his attention off of me and onto someone else. But then you were so nice and I felt bad encouraging you to some cheating asshole." She explained.
"I wanted to tell you the day when we went to Blue Fish, but he popped up on us and I forgot to mention it later then" she added. I sighed, "I want no drama with you, especially since I barely know you as well," she stated and I gave her small smile and gave her a hug. "Its ok, thank you for telling me and being honest, thats all i wanted," I replied. I pulled away and she smiled. "So are we cool again?" She asked. "Yea, we're cool" I replied.
"Now, I get to make fun of you," I state as we both laugh. "Why yo dumb ass come to my car to talk about Rome?" I added and we both started laughing. "Well its lunch right now, want to go out or stay in the school?" Kayla asked. "We can step out somewhere, this might be a thing for us" I stated and we both started laughing.
10 minutes later
We're sitting in Blue Fish chatting and eating, I told her about my chats with Rome and that we're on good terms now. "I still don't feel bad for what I did though, but in the end Veronica deserved to know that information before someone found out and make it turn into a rumor," she stated and I nodded.
"I wonder what's going to happen with them," she added. "He said he was going to break up with her," I replied and she looked up at me shocked. "You're lying," she spoke. "I'm so serious, he said he was never happy when they were together, he tries to look at her as if she was me so he can make the relationship work," I explained. "Damn, I mean it's not like she gave a fuck about him anyway. She likes the look of having a boyfriend and not being single, so if they break up, she's on to the next," Kayla stated. "Thats what happened before he moved out here. Our freshman year, she dated this guy named Tony & he broke up with her because he caught on to how she acts, so she saw Rome and thats how that happened." She explained. "Wow" I spoke, I had nothing else to say after that because that's crazy.
"So are y'all getting back together or..?" She asked and I shook my head no. "We need some time before we could do that" I told her. "So have you and Sane spoke?" She also asked. "Yea, he told me everything and I asked him, why would I trust you to be with me, since you a cheater? And he said I guess you'll never trust me and left," I explained. "I'm not surprised," she added.
"Moving on, so I did meet someone different though, well kind of, he was helping me find my classes since I missed a few," I stated. "Omg, who?" She asked. "His name is Nathan, he's pretty cute,"I replied. "Nathan who?" She asked. "Oh my gosh please don't tell me he a cheater you dated too," I spoke and she gasp. "You think I mostly dated cheaters?" She asked and I shrugged. "I mean.. Sane, why you keep going back to that?" I asked her and she rubbed the back of her head in embarrassment, "um he was my first love I guess," she shrugged. "But, Nathan who?" She asked again. "I don't know," I replied and we both laughed.
"When we go back, you gotta show me," she spoke and I laughed and rolled my eyes. "Maybe," i shrugged and we both laughed. "I'm glad we're talking again, because that whole situation was just.." she spoke and i cut her off finishing her sentence "a lot". "Yes, a lot. I wish it would've been done differently, I just had to figure out how wanted to say things to you. We're newly friends and I didn't want to come off rude about it, because thats what I would have done, and it took a few days to figure it out," she explained. "Well I'm over it now that we've talked, I just want to move past the drama I have with Veronica. Like I don't know that girl and she has beef with about a guy that was never hers and don't want her," I shrugged.
"Good luck with that one" Kayla spoke, "and I don't wanna be the girl to steal her man and her best friend," I spoke sarcastically and Kayla started laughing. "I'm just kidding but yea, Sasha is really cool, she is far from her lil bestie" I spoke and she nodded. "Sasha deserves better friends than Bliss and Veronica to be honest," I nodded agreeing with her. "Yes, I remember when Rome told me how she is all of a sudden more so close to Bliss than Sasha and that Sasha and Veronica have been friends longer than they knew Bliss." I explained.
"Yea, they were all friends then but Veronica and Sasha were closer, then when they found out that Rome is Bliss step brother, she started to get more closer to Bliss so Bliss can hook them up, but as we all know, Rome only wanted one thing" Kayla explained.
"The fame," I spoke. "Sadly yea, but he wanted you clearly. I do remember Sane telling me how he used to talk about a girl from back home" Kayla stated. "Wow" I spoke, I was a bit speechless.
She nods as she checks her phone, "I guess we should get going now. We got projects to work on, especially you," she stated and I rolled my eyes.
"Yea that" I laughed, we paid for our food, got up and left back to school.
15 minutes later
We made it back to the school and we walked together to our class. Rome & Sasha were already in there which is cool with us. Rome looked up and waved at us, I smiled and sat down at my seat, then Sasha got up and sat in a seat in front of me and turned towards me. "Hey, I'm hosting a party this weekend, you should come," she spoke and I nodded. "Thanks" I spoke with a smile. "Anytime girl," she spoke and got up and went back to her seat.
The bell rung and the rest of the class rushed in and sat in their seats, then we all scattered next to our partners and worked on our projects.
2 hours later
I went to the library and met up with Rome after my class. "Hey, ready to get started?" He asked. "Yea," I replied. We greeted the librarian and went straight to one of the tables.
A few minutes went by and we were almost done with our project. We took a break, "so prom..." Rome spoke and I looked up at him. "Very soon, slow down," I laughed, he chuckled and shrugged. "You right but... do you plan on going?" He asked. "I don't know yet, ask me again when its the month of," I replied and he laughed. "Wow" he spoke. "Are you going?" I asked him, "Maybe, if you go I'll go" he stated and I shrugged. "Ok Ari" he laughed.
"So your music and acting career, hows that going?" I asked. "I might just put it on pause for now, I'll continue to write music but the acting can wait for now" he replied. "Can I get a snippet?" I asked. "Its not ready, soon, I promise," he smiled at me. I looked at the clock and the bell was about to ring. "So where exactly do you be at during lunch?" He asked then the bell rung, we both gathered our things, got up and walked out the library. "Me and Kayla go to this sushi spot nearby," I replied.
"Hmm, I'll join you guys next time," he spoke. "You gotta smooth shit out between you and Kayla first" I told him. "I'll do that, well I'll see you later" he said as he walked away and I headed the opposite direction.
