Just then the group heard sticks crackling in the trees behind them. Jon jumped up, "James? Dale?" Jon bolted off into the woods hoping to reunite with his friends.
"Hey guys there back! They made it back safely!" Then all you could hear were the screams for help coming from the woods.Everyone grabbed there weapons, preparing for the worst.
"Jon! Who else is out there?"
Then they seen it, James, Dale, and Jon walking out of the woods.
"They've turned! Get the kids inside now," ordered Devin.
Paul and Devin raised their guns and aimed for their undead friends' heads. After they finished off their friends, Jamie burst outside crying. She huddled over Jon, soaking his red and orange flannel shirt in tears.
"Why did you have to let him die?"
"It wasn't our fault, he just took off," barked Devin.
"Well why didn't you stop him?"
"He's a grown man for Christ's sake he can handle himself!"
"Will you please just calm down? Jamie how about you go inside and have a glass of wine and relax," Paul said while trying to stay calm himself.Jamie kissed Jon on the cheek then got up. She wiped the tears off her face onto her light blue tank top.
"Okay but we are having a funeral for him."
"But," Devin began to say before Jamie interrupted him.
"No exceptions! We are having a funeral tomorrow!"
"Just don't argue with her Dev, that's what she wants you to do," stammered Paul.
"Fine we can have the stupid funeral, but after that we are leaving," stated Devin. That seemed to please Jamie enough. She stomped her way back to the cabin.
"Oh and by the way, I'm drinking all the wine," shouted Jamie as she opened the cabin door.
