The atmosphere had become so intense already that people had started competing over the numbers they would be performing according to.
All of the twenty-three entrants had already arrived and now it was time to show our performances. We got notified that we had to pick up on ourselves to determine who the 12 I-landers will be by judging one another's performance which kept me in hysteria for quite a time because I had not thought that it would be so harsh on the first day itself. Hearing this, the stimulation in my body started rising in a haste.
No one wanted to volunteer as a first one because it could be a really big disadvantage sometimes but at other times it could work as a playing card since there is no standard set before you. A part of me was about to stand up when Seon went up to the stage.
He had a really strong presence but he somewhat looked kind of stiff to me. I was quite impressed by his vocals and his expressions as well. He performed really well according to me but I was not sure if I should vote. With a bit of unsurity , I raised my hand to vote to see that 21 others did the same so he got in.
After him, almost everyone wanted to go for the second one but Jay and Sunghoon won the chance. I already knew how good performers they were and they did better than I expected, especially Sunghoon.

I noticed that he had improved a lot, his confidence, his body moves, his vocals and his expressions all were on point. Obviously, Jay also did great but I couldn't take my eyes off Sunghoon.

Everyone including me was astonished by their dance and influential vocal points especially their interaction. Everything they did was so in sync and perfect from the start to the end.
Due to their strong performance, they also got in which brought the number down to 9. As others kept performing, my body kept feeling discomfort but I made sure to stay tough. The number kept decreasing and many started getting disqualified especially the ones in the unit. I felt really sorry for them because I could understand how they were feeling.
During the performances, I noticed Sunghoon looking at me but he would turn away as soon I met his face. I thought that he probably was nervous and wanted to exchange a few words with me since it had been quite a time since we last talked.
