Ahaan saw her jumping on the desk, no uniform just a yellow top over a small skirt coloured in black. A bit curly hairs tied by a white rubber band. A not so fair face with two bucks teeths in the mouth. She kept running, jumping on the tables like a tomboy. Exactly, what else could he expect from a 5th standard girl. He shrinked his mouth clearly expressing, "what the hell is she trying to do". He was not a loudy person. You definitely can't say it as love at first sight, hate at first sight. He hated the way she jumped, laughed or dressed. What else would a boy aged 10 would do, sitting in the corner and judging the person he hardly knew.Kritika's first impression was not so good to ahaan. It would be completely wrong to say that Ahaan liked her, neither he hated, cause if you know what a kid in 5th standard would define hatred.
He newly joined this school and on the first day, first period except the teacher all he could notice is that loudy girl, who claimed herself as the monitor. Ahaan was fair as a duck, you can simply notice his reddish cheeks carried by a tiny pair of shinning eyes along with a humble voice and small hairs covered with almond oil.Kritika was a complete chatterbox, that doesn't make ahaan a silent knight. He was too a mischief kid, but only with the one's he allowed to be with. We cannot say ahaan, was a introvert person but he definitely took his own time to befriend with people. It almost took him around 1 & half year to call someone his friend in that school.
Almost 2 years and both the classmates were still constant,i.e., classmates. Even if they had any communication it was just a formal conversation between two students discussing studies. It was almost September of the year. The city was covered with all green after rainfall, although rain hasn't bid adieu, but still sun comes few days to say hello to the budding flowers.
Teachers day was all over head and Ahaan, kritika were selected to present a gesture of respect towards all teachers from the whole school. 'Tilak & Aarti" duties were assigned to kritika while presenting gift hampers to each individual teacher falled into ahaan's bag. The whole auditorium was filled with people in colourful dresses, but there were still two candidates standing backstage in the usual and boring school uniform.
"I wish, our bodies were also covered with that colours", broke the silence kritika.
"Yaa, but then we were not be getting the limelight which everyone craves for", replied ahaan.Minutes later, as both stood together on stage, kritika with a plate of burning lamp and some kumkum for tilak while ahaan stood next to a table with lot of gifts. As the momento for paying respect proceeded, both did their respective jobs. The crowd sitting in front of them made a gossip to chit chat for the time to pass, soon that chit chat converted into a gossip and started circulating in the whole auditorium. Some saw them with the eyes of Aww... while few watched them with a doubtful sight. Within the 5 minutes of their presence on stage, they both became the new gossip of whole school.
A teacher whispered to another teacher, " don't they look so good together, just made for each other", pointing towards ahaan and kritika. And the statement after being heard by few students gave fuel to the fire. The made for each other became made in heaven. Both still looking at everbody wondering, " why everyone eyeing them as guilty???".
