I know my loves I'm a lil slowpoke xD Also yes change in perspective, I'll probably go back through this entire thing and put it in third person just because it gives me more room to do shiz.

Olana sat half asleep on a bench overlooking a lake that had nearly frozen over, her little sister Lilly was stumbling around playing in the beginnings of snow. It had been almost three months since Olana had last heard from Dove, one day the sweet letters stopped,  her messages went unread, her calls went straight to voicemail. Even then she couldn't be mad, hearing Dove's voice over the receiver was enough to calm her down.

"Sorry I missed your call, these members can be a handful, Ill get back to you as soon as I get the chance! Please leave a message if its urgent."

Her siblings had taken notice to the difference in their sister where their parents could not. Her oldest brother thought it best to leave her be, only pressing for the first month before they realized it would take more than just them to bring her back. Her sister however never gave up, always invited her idol to play. To take her to the lake or the park even when her nose was numb from the cold and her cheeks were pink. Though even with all her attempts, Olana's condition only became worse. She had given up her role as a huntress, taking back her birthright as an omega. She'd been evicted from her room with Amy and Emily once it was clear she wouldn't be taking up her role once more, her friends had been devastated, but after weeks of trying to reach out to Olana, they were only met with an empty husk of the girl they knew.

Olana had been rendered oblivious to the events unfolding around her. Lucine's cause of the ancient ways had begun to grow, kingdoms fell to their mission out of fear, leaders forced to bow before the King at the risk of life, whether it be their mate or their pups. Lucine had made its rounds in the kingdoms to the West, moving slowly South to the smaller packs that would be easier to control. The last pack that fell was the largest they'd taken so far, bringing their total to 15 in their hands out of the 62 packs in the country, it was enough to bring widespread panic.

The shifts in Olana's pack almost never ended, there were guards everywhere, their own and smaller allied packs that had merged with them in an effort to reserve their source of food. Olana's pack was an agricultural front, not the richest, but they produced a majority of their allies' nourishment. A steady blur of events, that's how it all had registered in Olana's absent mind.

"Lana Lana!" Lilly giggled, running up to her sister with a poorly made snowball in her hand, holding out to Olana as the woman blinked a few times to focus on the ball of snow in front of her. Gingerly taking it from her sister she passed the girl a confused glance.

"Wanna have a snowball fight?" Lilly asked, tilting her head as she sat in the grass and scraped together a few more green-tinted balls with what little snow was on the ground.

"Sorry Lilly, not today, there's not enough snow," Olana murmured flatly, standing up rigidly as her hood fell off her head, chills cascading down her neck at the rush of cold.

"Dawww! That's lame!" Lily huffed, taking Olana's hand cold hand angrily as they made their way back to the house.

"Yeah...Lame." Olana whispered, letting out a breath to see it materialize in front of her. Ever since the numbness had consumed her, she found the cold comforting. The way it chilled her to the bone and made her hairs stand on end, made her feel like she was still in her own skin.
