Him

We had been driving for 10 hours when we finally got there. Our new home. It was pretty late so we parked the truck and dad helped me carry inside my mattress. I put that down on the floor and got my blankets and pillows out of the truck.

"You sure you wanna sleep in there all alone? It might get a little cold."

"Yeah dad I'm fine. You should get some sleep. You look tired."

Dad nodded and went to his room where his mattress was.

I laid down and yawned. I put on a movie on my phone.

I fell fast asleep very quickly.

~the next day~

"Good morning dad."

"Good morning Marz."

"Are we gonna get the new house all set up today?"

"Yep! Oh yeah also the neighbor might help us. He's very nice. I talked to him this morning."

~Bill's POV~

I woke up at around 7:00 a.m.

I figured I could start breakfast.

I was making eggs on the stove when I heard

"Hey there new neighbor! Didn't see you get here!"

There I saw him.

The most handsome man ever.

He had beautiful brown eyes that glowed in the sunlight, brown curly hair that he ran his hand through, and pink, plump lips.

"New neighbor? You there bud?"

"Uh yeah! Sorry I just- shit!"

I realized I had burned the eggs.

"Hey new neighbor you want me to help you unpack today?"

"Uh yeah! Sure! My son should be waking up any minute now."

As I predicted, my son came downstairs right then.

"I'll talk to you later umm,"

"Bill."

"Well then I'll talk to you later, Bill"

My heart fluttered when he said my name.

"So, Marz. I just met the new neighbor. He seems pretty nice."

"How did you just meet him you've been inside?"

"He kinda just came up to the window and said hi"

"Oh."

I couldn't stop thinking about him. That smile...

"Dad? Dad!"

"Huh? Oh hi Marz."

"Dad the eggs are on fire."

"What- oh shit!"
