chapter three.
[3] "SO MUCH FOR ALGEBRA"

"What do you mean?? Johnny's gonna tutor me!?" I exclaimed at Mrs Fitch also known as my very millennial of a principle who was seated down rather very calm in front of me.

"Annie you passed algebra only by half a mark and didn't you mention that you wanted to go to Columbia? You barely passed last semester and refuse to take part in extra curricular's." She explained looking upto me. "Johnny offered to tutor you and since you both have almost the same interests and live by each other I don't think it'd be much of a problem," She said so simply.

How does she know all of this and not know how he's been an absolute idiot towards me? She was one the judges at that piano recital. I'm pretty sure she knew why my beautiful fluffy pink dress looked like literal shit.

"I think it's very nice for him to do this actually, plus you two could work out your friend problems!" She grinned at me. "I'll have less arguing in my supposed to be peaceful hallways."

So she does know.
She's Jenna's mother after all.

Does she even know that her daughter is a literal maniac...?

What if Mrs Fitch secretly hates me too. What is this is all part of Jenna's new plan of some sort?? What if her mom is helping her ruin my last year of high school.

I wouldn't be surprised.

But At least they have a...'I'd do anything for you' type mother-daughter relationship. My mother and I could never.

I rolled my eyes, "If anything it's gonna make it worse."

She ignored me, putting her golden blonde hair behind her ear before joining her hands together, "You guys can decide when you want to start and drop in your progress."

I huffed. I don't like her.

"Bu-"

"I'm taking up your lunch time aren't I? You should go." She cut me off.

"I-"

"Shoo shoo now," She cut me off. Again.

...Shoo shoo?

Yeah, I hate her.

I walked out of her office rushing into the cafeteria, then to Johnny's table, he was having a conversation with his fellow jocks before I pulled him away.

"You need to pretend to tutor me."

He smiled obviously knowing what I was talking about because he was the one who fucking offered to tutor me??? He raised a brow, "Why pretend?"

I looked away, "Because." I paused, "I don't know but your not tutoring me!" I whisper-shouted.

"How bad could it be Julie? You know I won't bite, well unless you want me too," He winked. "Plus you could use it."

I scoffed. This is exactly why I hate him. I looked up at him and he gave me a not so innocent grin, "You're only behind in algebra. I could help a little you know?" He smirked slightly.

So it's either failing twelfth grade algebra or Johnny tutoring me. I don't like either of them. In fact, I strongly dislike both of them.

Like who in their right mind decided it would be cool to add alphabets in math!? It's already hard enough.

And Johnny. Johnny tutoring me!?
This idiot is going to tutor me?? Isn't he supposed to be stupid???

This is literally one the hardest decisions I've ever made in my entire lifetime and I am not exaggerating.

...Obviously not.

I let out a breath after a short debate in my head, I bit my lip, "Promise me no funny business, no annoying pranks and no flirting." I ordered, crossing my arms trying to keep a solemn look on my face.

He tilted his head, a smile on his face, pursing his lips as he put his shoulders up a little which got me to glare at him.

He let out a slight laugh, shaking his head, "Fine,"

Looks like the Johnny Orlando is tutoring me
and I'm totally not looking forward to it.

So much for algebra.

Arithmetic with evil letters involved.

I hate it here.

"Six pm," He stated and I nodded. "Mine or yours?" He smirked slightly.

I let out a breath, rolling my eyes at his actions. "Yours." I answered without hesitation. No way he's hearing my parents arguing. "And I said no flirting." I reminded.

"And you know I can't do that." He shrugged, giving me a cheeky smile before walking away.

I blinked a couple times fixed in my position in the corner of the cafeteria, my eyes following to where he sat.

I hate him.

"You're brother's tutoring me." I said to Lauren, dropping myself onto my seat.

"What!?" Kenzie and Lauren exclaimed in unison.

I bit my lip and nodded, "That was my exact reaction actually."

Lauren shoved her fork into the cold Ceaser salad our school provided, "Wait you agreed?"

I nodded again, "Surprisingly I did,"

Kenzie hummed, "Looks like your warming up to him to me," She grinned waving her fork in the air. "This is the beginning Annie, I can feel it." She said so dramatically.

I nudged her, "I don't know what made you think Johnny and I would ever end up together but it needs to stop."

"The fact that he's literally head over heels for you." She responded. "You're blind. Like quite literally." She sighed, that being dramatic too.

"I'm pretty sure you don't act like that around someone you like." I told her.

"I'm pretty sure it's a weird kinda love language." She smirked, wetting her dry lips.

There's no chance Johnny even considers me as friend. The only reason he annoys me so much is for his own entertainment.

She's crazy.

Honestly both of them should get together, they have sort of similar personalities but at the same time...Johnny and my best friend?

Uh, yeah never mind.

"The amount of times you both argue because of my brother literally wants me to jump into a well." Lauren let out causing a slight laugh to escape our lips.

I glanced away to notice Johnny looking at me but he looked away just as fast as I did, my heart skipping a beat for some weird reason.

I looked back at Lauren and soon enough, we were indulged in our own conversation but for some odd
reason, my head always found it's way back to him and that bugged me a little. Just a little.
