~Grayson's POV ~
I hadn't been able to get her off my mind since I met her. I brought her to be here with me and despite my mood swings and rudeness, she didn't leave. Her leaving was because of all of my secrets. Yet here she is on top of me. I never expected this. When she told me to leave, I thought that was it. I thought I drove her away.
"Are you just going to stare at me?" She asks pulling me back to the present moment. Her hair hung in her face as she rested her hands gently on my chest.
"Stay with me tonight," I find myself saying. There are very few nights I'm ever home. I'm usually out doing things, but there was no where else I'd rather be tonight than with her.
"Will you?" She whispers looking down at her hands rather than at me.
I nod, "I promise."
"I don't believe you," She admits. I didn't blame her. I wouldn't trust me if I was her either. But then again, if I was her I would've ran the second I met me. "I need you to prove it."
"How?" I question her.
She brings her eyes back up to meet mine. "Prove it." And with those two words I gently grabbed her and pulled her down into me for a kiss. It was like I needed her. There was something different about her and everyone knew it. Her lips fit mine perfectly. It was as if we were made for each other.
I pulled her closer by her waist. We were touching but there still felt like there was too much distance between us. I moved my lips from her lips, down to her neck. I flipped her so I was back on top kissing down her neck. I traced the edge of her jeans and looked at her for approval. She gave me a teasing smile letting me know it was okay. My phone rang. But I continued to kiss her until it stopped. Her hands were interlocked with mine as dipped into the nook of her neck and planted kisses again.
But my phone rang again. Of course it rang again. Someone always wants something when I'm busy.
"Answer it," She said out of breathe. She must've saw my hesitation because she kissed me softly and said, "Answer it or they won't stop calling."
I slowly stood up unsure if I really wanted to. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket. "What?" I say irritably into the phone not even bothering to read who was calling.
"She's here," The voice on the other line said. It was E'Claine.
"Who?" I ask impatiently. Looking back at Andrea who had made herself comfortable on my bed.
"Natalie," He replies.
"Where?" I ask. Andrea had turned on the TV and was flicking through the channels. I was looking for a single thing to indicate that she was upset or that she was going to leave.
"Her house," E'Claine said quickly.
"You followed her home and felt the need to call me?" Why the hell would he call just to tell me that Natalie's home. It's a good thing if she went home. Andrea jumped slightly at me raising my voice and looked at me to find me watching her. I quickly look away from her hoping that maybe she didn't see me.
"No. You don't understand," E'Claine says.
"If she's home then I don't care. What was the point of calling," I was eager to get this conversation over with.
"Grayson. She's at Andrea's house," He corrects me. My face dropped. I sat on the edge of the bed. This is what I was trying to avoid. I felt arms wrap around my neck loosely. It was Andrea. "Grayson? Are you still there?"
"Yeah. I'm here," I reply.
"What should I do? Do you want me to wait for you?" He asks.
I didn't want to leave Andrea, but it would be to protect her. But I promised her I wouldn't. I sigh, "No. Call Aaron."
"You're not coming?" E'Claine sounded confused. Which is understandable. Normally, I would've gone. But tonight is different.
"No. Not this time," Andrea was gently rubbing my arm as she continued flipping through channels unaware what was going on. "There's somewhere I have to be tonight."
"I'll get it done," He says and hangs up swiftly.
I put my phone on silent and set it on the bedside table and sit next to her with my back against the headboard. "What are you doing?"
She rolls her eyes, "Trying to find something to watch. What does it look like?"
I chuckle. She's feisty. "Doesn't look like you're finding anything."
"I'm not," She states. "What do you want to watch?"
I shrug, "It doesn't matter what you put on. I won't watch it."
"Why not?" She eyes me.
"I want you," I say changing the subject. I watched as pink filled her cheeks.
"Umm..." She replies unsure.
"I want you with me," I say struggling to say what I wanted to.
"I'm right here," She answers as she adjusts her body to face me better.
"With just me," I say still struggling.
A smile spreads across her face as she understands what I'm trying to say. "Are you trying to say you want me to be your girlfriend?" I nod. "Why do you think I came?"
"I thought you came for your stuff," I say slowly.
She laughs. "I came to get my stuff hoping you'd be man enough to stop me."
"I'm not a good guy," I warn her.
"I know," She says. "But there's good in you."
"Not a lot."
"I don't care. I want the good and the bad."
"There's a lot of bad."
"I still don't care. Let me in."
I don't trust easily. I don't let people in. But everything about Andrea told me to let her in. I don't know if it's because of how she doesn't throw herself at me like other girls, or if it's because despite all the red flags, she stays. Maybe it's the mystery of her. The people who were suppose to raise her turned out not to be her parents and she doesn't seem the slightest bit affected by it. Her brother is one of the most popular guys in the school and yet she remains intentionally unknown. I don't know exactly what it is, but something is drawing me to her.
"Okay," I say surprising her. I could tell she didn't know what to say so I took the remote from her and put on a movie. It was action film. She moved to lay in my arms and started to watch the movie. She watched the movie so intently as I watched her thinking about how lucky I was right now. But I can't help but feel like she shouldn't be with me.
