As the Gryffindor Prefect scolded me, I played with the missing strings in my pants pockets.
"Exupertus, I let you off with a slap on the wrist after yesterday's event," the prefect began, "and you couldn't finish a night of detention."
I sighed, leaning against the Great Hall's walls. My stomach was screaming at me and my eyes were struggling to stay open.
"As much as I love your concern, I would like to eat breakfast." I kept eye contact with the boy, my face stoic as he rubbed a hand across his face.
"Detention for 2 weeks." I chuckled at his answer, pushing myself off the wall and taking my right hand out of my pocket, putting it on the shoulder of the prefect.
"How thoughtful you are." Patting his shoulder a few times before walking into the Great Hall.
I sighed loudly, looking around the Hall as I made my way towards the house table. I stopped in my tracks, smiling a bit as I walked behind a familiar first year that was sitting down.
I reached my arm out to hold my weight on the table. I waved with my other hand to the boy sitting across the table who pointed at me. Slowly, the smaller figure in-front of me turned his head, gulping once I moved closer to his face. The chatter in the Hall dying down, small whispers instead being thrown around.
"Are you gonna eat that," I pointed at a piece of toast with my index finger, using my hand on the table. The boy opened his mouth but no words came out.
"John never eats his toast." I looked at the kid across the table once more, he was nervous, his leg bouncing up and down as he tapped the wooden table.
I nodded slowly, standing up straight as I grabbed the toast off his plate.
"Is there a problem here, Arsinia," I heard Snape's voice boom out, causing the side conversations to come to a halt. The room becoming deadly silent.
Keeping eye contact with, John, I shook my head before responding.
"None at all, godfather!" I smirked, throwing an arm around Johns' shoulder as I turned to face where the teachers were sitting.
"Then why are you being disruptive." I stared down at Snape as he spoke, a warning sign hidden in his eyes.
"Johnny boy here," I started as I slapped John's shoulder, "was apologizing for yesterday's event! Offered me his toast, he did! Didn't you?" I looked down at the blond who was still sitting down, nodding fast and giving a nervous smile.
Throwing the piece of toast back onto Johns' plate, I rolled my eyes at my godfather. His stare boring into me, unconvinced. My smile falling, going back to the same stoic expression I always had. I unwrapped my arm from the Slytherin, pushing him to the side as I stepped on the bench and onto the table. I turned around, looking at the other house tables, extending both of my arms out.
"I am extremely sorry for ruining your morning," I brought my arms into my chest, clasping my hands over my heart, "I am also sorry for the unhumorous God Father,"
"Arsinia," warned Snape
"That I have!" Letting my hands fall to my sides, I walked across the table. "So as a sorry gift," I kicked one of the trays in my way, the food splashing over one of my housemates. "I'll prolong breakfast."
"Food fight!" I turned to the voice, a familiar ginger head standing up, throwing the first piece of food at Ron, the replica of him standing up from his seat, following his brothers' action.
I watched the food coming from every table. Together with the professors and employees, screaming, laughing, and yelling erupted from each table.
I moved two Slytherin students out of the way to make space for me to hit the floor, jumping down from the table and onto the bench. Once again, I made eye contact with Snape, cursing softly under my breath before
