Two weeks have passed since that night. Meg and I have been trying to figure out a way to contact them, to hang out again but no luck.
Anyways, it's the last week of school and I just found out that my parents are leaving on vacation again. I would go but I can't take hearing another argument from them. So I've told them I wanted to stay at home for the summer and they took it way better than I thought.
"Y/N I have some GREAT news" Meg said sitting down across from me during lunch.
"What is it?" I asked, biting my apple
"Ok so you know how my uncle works for that venue downtown?" I nod, taking another bite of my food
"Well he told me that there is this band playing there this Friday; and Guess who it is" she said turning the piece of paper in her hand around.
SUNSET CURVE WILL BE PERFORMING FRIDAY NIGHT @ 10 PM
My eyes widen and I grabbed the paper out of her hands.
"We have to go!!"
We started to get up and head for our lockers.
" obviously we're going!!!" " I get to see my manz again" she said opening her locker
FAST FORWARD TO FRIDAY
I felt like the day was going slower than usual. Class felt longer, teachers wouldn't stop talking, people taking their time walking and stoping right in place as if there is no one behind them.
6th period finally arrived and I'll I wanted to do was fast forward time so I can just leave and head to the concert.
"Ok class so today since it's the last day of school. I'm going to give you guys free time. All I ask is to keep the noise down, if it gets to aloud I will give you guys an assignment" Mrs. Conner said walking to her desk
I spent the whole period doing my homework and starring at the clocking seeing if I can make it go any faster.
I can't.
After school Meg and I headed over to my house to drop off our things and change before we went to the show.
Once we left I got this weird feeling like something really bad is going to happen tonight. It felt like something telling me I should stay home. But I brushed it off and started for the bus stop.
The bus was taking longer than usual. What a surprise. Everything today just felt slower. Like time was slowing stoping. Maybe it's just me, I've been anxious all day . It could be that.
