He was very much aware when he shifted from his slumber to awareness and immediately he was grateful for the feeling of the boy in his arms.
It had been years since his constant chasing had finally paid off since then he always woke up with a flutter in his chest that was always welcome. It meant all was still good in his life. Seungcheol finally opened his eyes to watch his angel but was however shocked to find Jeonghan already awake staring blankly at the ceiling.
His shock was simply due to the fact that the boy never woke up early and on the days he rarely did he made a huge ruckus so no one else could sleep but here he was lost in his thoughts with a troubled look in his eyes.
Seungcheol waved away his worries for the boy, it was probably jitters for the upcoming concert in Jakarta. Seungcheol stirred to reveal he was awake, when Jeoghan didn't react he reached to place a kiss on his lovers neck who immediately squirmed and smacked him on the face.
When Jeonghans eyes met Seungcheols his heart beat with a warmness that put his heart at peace, one that melted his worries completely but sadly guilt remained weighing on his chest and suffocating him. He looked down, nope that was just Scoups hand.
“You look like you've been awake for awhile. Why didn't you wake me?” His croaky voice sent chills down his spine or maybe it was the image of the only other time he sounded like that.
He tucked his palm under his cheek so he could face him properly “Youve been really stressed you deserved a few seconds.”
“If I deserved a few seconds then why are you still laying here?” They both laughed knowing Jeonghan did it for himself and was only using his lover as an excuse. Seungcheol kissed him again, this time on the lips just because he liked him like that. He rolled out of bed, stretching “I’ve gotten my few seconds now let me go shower.” They shared a smile then Seungcheol disappeared into the bathroom and once again Jeonghans worries returned.
Seungcheol was extremely sensitive almost like a child, he knew that much and even more now that they were on tour and he was feeling a lot of pressure to do his best not just as a member but as the leader of Seventeen. Everyone's problems even without them knowing weighed heavily on him.
He was a great leader and that wasn't from the big things or the speeches he made that was made public, it was the little things; It was the little things he did to make sure the members were all comfortable, the little things he paid attention to, the times when he put his feelings on the back burner time and time again when the members were involved. Hell, even when he made sure every members favorite snack was made available, they were too much for him to list out in his mind.
Seungcheol was no doubt one of the best decisions they had made as a band but what most people didn't know was that he was the best decision he had made personally. Seungcheol was the most loyal, loving and caring boyfriend a person could ever have. He knew it well but he couldn't understand what had possessed him to hurt Seungcheol in the way he had.
He could've easily kept it a secret but everytime Seungcheol sent him a smile, told him he loved him or simply just looked at him he was taken back to that night and he felt the pain in his heart intensify.
He guessed the problem lay in the fact that Scoups was at his weakest, the tour and his burdens were taking a toll on him, if he got his heart broken now he wasn't sure he could cope with it.
Jeonghan was so lost in his thoughts he didn't hear Seungcheol come out of the bathroom until he stepped in front of him. “Hannie, what's wrong?” He looked up slowly unsure how to answer. “Well go take a shower cause we leave in thirty minutes.” He turned to walk away, it was now or never, so he reached out and grabbed Seungcheols arm.
“Cheol, please sit we need to talk.” They stared at each other, Seungcheol wanted to decline cause they really didn't have time left but the pleading in Jeonghans eyes were enough to convince him, at least he could find out why he was acting wierd and he could fulfill the promise he made to himself of helping every member in anyway he could.
It took Jeonghan sometime to collect his thoughts before he opened his mouth “Remember Jaewooks party last month?” He hadn't even told him anything but Scoups felt his heart drop, he swallowed waiting for him to finish. “We had an argument, you went home drunk, I was so mad at you then someone walked up to me and helped me through my anger. . . It doesn't excuse what I did but,” He was crying now. Seungcheol wanted to comfort him but there was a part of him that knew what the unspoken words were so he sat and waited, he wasn't sure for what but he would wait.
“I hooked up with him Cheolie. I'm so sorry.” He buried his face in his palm and sobbed into it. He selfishly let himself feel relief that it was finally out but he couldn't concentrate on that cause Scoups just sat rigidly next to him, no sound from him.
Jeonghan knew he had no right to cry but the thought that he could lose Seungcheol scared him in a way that he never imagined but somehow he had gone and committed a terrible mistake he wasn't sure could be forgiven.
Scoups still wasn't saying anything, at least he had moved into a slouched position, that he was familiar with, running his tongue on the inside of his cheeks. He finally spoke and when he did he said “Go get ready Jeonghan we leave in less than thirty minutes.” Then he stood not meeting his eyes at all, picked up his clothes resting on the arm chair and stormed out.
The fact that he didn't say anything or even react as he had expected in his mind instilled more fear in Jeonghans heart. The disturbing thought that Scoups could leave him became all too real and he felt the pain in his heart intensify until it felt physical and he wasn't sure what he was crying from.
