Jeonghan no longer existed.
At least that’s how he felt in the presence of Seungcheol. In the three years they had been together the moments he hated was when Seungcheol was angry with him, of course it was okay when just him was mad but the second Scoups started to get angry things went to shit for him.
He guessed the root of this problem was born from the fact that he thrived on the attention that Scoups gave him, it was constant and something he had always gotten from the beginning so it was no surprise that soon it was something he began to depend on. Scoups knew it too and he used it to his advantage.
He avoided him like a bubonic plague, completely ignored his existence, if they were stuck in the same place he spoke loudly to everyone else even sometimes met his eyes but his name never left his mouth only when absolutely necessary.
The most frustrating thing was that he did it in such a way that no one else noticed there was trouble in paradise and therefore no one intervened. The only people who came close were Mingyu and Vernon but Scoups was a great pretender when he wanted to be.
It was ironic that more than anything he wished for what he didn’t like, he wished he could ignore him and have fun while at it but he just sat there with a broken look on his face as he stared at the scenery as they moved by.
It broke Jeonghans heart knowing that he was then one put that look on his face. He pulled out his phone and tried texting him but he knew it was futile, Seungcheol never checked his phone which was why a special tune was set for him so he would know he was the one but even as it rang out he didn’t react for a second.
Now he found himself putting all his energy into not crying so as to not alarm the other members who all seemed to equally be in a terrible mood.
Even when they arrived at the venue and sat preparing his lovers mood still hadn’t improved, the members however were already pumped trying to pass on positive energy to everyone, Scoups kept waving them away as he sat in the corner promising he was going to be fine. It continued endlessly until it was time to go up, because he was watching closely he noticed the second Scoups stepped into the spotlight a genuine smile came over his face that managed to put him at ease.
He probably would be okay. He thought to himself then sent a silent prayer to all the Carats who managed to improve his lovers mood without even realising it.
