Chapter 6: i go on a quest with my enemy.

The next morning, Chiron moved him to cabin three.

He was the son of Poseidon, my mom's bitterest rival.I was suppose to hate him.

And I was absolutely miserable.

Just when I thought that I might make friends with someone other then Luke, he had to be claimed.The other campers steered clear of him as much as possible. Cabin eleven was too nervous to have sword class with me after what he'd done to the Ares folks in the woods

I still taught him Greek in the mornings,

After lessons,I would walk away muttering to herself: "Quest for the son of Poseidon? That is Dirty and rotten I have Got to make a plan."

One day I saw Clarrise running into Percy's cabin with a piece of paper. I didn't stick around long enough to find out heat it was.

I went towards Chiron, and asked him if Percy was going on a quest. He raised his eyebrows, but nodded his head. I said," I want to volunteer for the quest. Being a son of Poseidon, I was sure he would mess the quest up without me. Plus I didn't think anyone would want to go with him, after the way he dealt with the ares folks.

The next day I woke up, put some clothes on and grabbed my invisibility cap. As I was walking to the big house, I saw a storm. The magical borders of the camp was suppose to keep bad weather out, but this storm ... this one was huge. At the volleyball pit, the kids from Apollo's cabin were playing a morning game against the satyrs. Pollux and Castor were walking around in the strawberry fields, making the plants grow.

Everybody was going about their normal business, but they looked tense. They kept their eyes on the storm.

As a neared the big house, a net of lightning flashed across the clouds. Thunder shook the windows of the house.

When I entered, I saw Chiron and Grover. Grover looked like he had the fright of his life. Then Chiron said," he went to consult the oracle, my dear, why don't you go check on Lee in the infirmary, I heard he was shot by Percy during archery." I raised my eyebrows, then he said" not on purpose, of coarse." That cleared it up, so I went to the infirmary, and saw Lee with a bandage warped around his left arm. I put some necker on it, applied some new bandages and cleared the wound.

Later I went( invisibly) and heard Percy say, "Gee, who else would be stupid enough to volunteer for a quest like this?"

I took off my cap and became visible, stuffing it into my back pocket.

"I've been waiting a long time for a quest, seaweed brain,"I said. "Athena is no fan of Poseidon, but if you're going to save the world, I'm the best person to keep you from messing up."

"If you do say so yourself,"he said. "I suppose you have a plan, wise girl?"

"Do you want my help or not?" I shot

"A trio,"he said. "That'll work."

"Excellent," Chiron said. "This afternoon, we can take you as far as the bus terminal in Manhattan. After that, you are on your own."

Lightning flashed. Rain poured down on the meadows that were never supposed to have violent weather. "No time to waste," Chiron said. "I think you should all get packing."
