When Harry woke up a few hours later he woke up to the sound of footsteps on the staircase. "WAKE UP USELESS" he heard his Aunt call. Minutes later he was in the kitchen cooking breakfast. He was making omelets and toast. He took the toast out of the toaster and sat one piece on each plate and put two more pieces of bread into the toaster. He turned back to the pan filled with his finishing omelet. He took the pan of the stove and gently placed the omelet on one of the two plates. He sat the pan back on the stove and began making another one. After the two plates had two pieces of toast and an omelet each he sat them on the table in front of his aunt and uncle and started to pour two glasses of orange juice. He was sure not to show the pain he was enduring because last time he got a beating for it. He carefully sat the two glasses on the table.

"Here freak!" His Aunt and uncle both shoved paper into his hands and shooed him off. It was undoubtedly his list of chores for today.  He walked out of the kitchen and pulled the two pieces of paper out of his pocket and looked at them. Then he made his way to the garden. He had only reached the garden when he heard yelling. He hadn't noticed that he had crushed a daisy as he rushed back inside.

"BOY! WHAT IS THIS?! YOU TRYING TO POISON US WITH BURNT TOAST?!" His Uncle Vernon yelled. Before he could apologize or do anything really his uncles sausage hands grabbed him by the arm and started to mercilessly drag him up the stairs. His uncle had just reached the top of the stairs when he heard his Aunt let out a shrill scream. She appeared at the bottom of the stairs and screamed, "THE BOY CRUSHED ONE OF MY DAISYS!!"

The beating he received was a terrible one. His uncle and aunt were still kicking and hitting him when it was like his magic callapsed around him. It sent his uncle and aunt back and all of a sudden Hedwig burst through the open window. She let out a sad chirp when she saw her owner and shoved her leg in his direction. There was a pice if parchment attached to it.

Harry snatched it from her and opened it hastily, scanning the words untill the words "floo to gringots" seemed to jump out at him. That's when he noticed the small pouch attached to Hedwig's other leg.
