Chapter 5-

-Harry's POV-

I was a little confused when Ragnook got up and left without saying anything. It was a short lived confusion because not even seconds later he waltzed back into the room and sat in his seat behind the desk. He had a few pieces of parchment, a needle, and a small purple pouch in hand.

"Harry the reason I sent that letter was to inform you of a creature inheritance you went through a few days ago. I'm not sure specifically when it happened. It should have happened on your birthday. We didn't get notified of it untill this morning when your magic seemingly collapsed as you put it." I nodded as to confirm I was listening.

"We've has this happen before. And I've got reasoning to believe you've had unauthorized blocks and potions perhaps placed on you." I looked at Ragnook questioningly. I don't understand how that could've happened. Who would have put blocks and/or potions on me anyways? And what does that have to do with him not knowing of my creature inheritance?

"Ah, I see you are confused. Let me explain what I mean. If you have blocks on your creature inheritance and magic, and it would have to be both, the block would confuse your magic into not knowing it happened, which means we would not be notified. And the other block would obviously block out the inheritance. Well, not really the inheritance but the pain it brings." The goblin stood up and walked around the desk and placed the parchment in front of me on the desk as well as the pouch. The pouch was pushed aside and Ragnook handed me the needle.

"These two pieces of parchment are both a birth certificate, which will show your inheritance, and the other will show any blocks or potions, etc., that we're put on you unknowingly. That needle," he gestured to the needle in my hand " is needed for you to prick you finger. Two drops on each page will suffice." He walks back around the desk and sits down again. I hesitantly prick my left index finger and drop two drops of blood on each page. The goblin reached forward and took the pages uttering a few words under his breath. He held them in his hand for a minute, waiting for the words to form.

He hands me the birth certificate but keeps the other page for him to look over first. Forgetting the other page momentarily, I look down at the one in my hands. After wiping my bloody finger on the hem of my pants I start to read the piece of parchment.

Fake birth certificate (illegally):

Mother: Lily Potter née Evans (deceased)

Father: James Potter (deceased)

After reading through the page two or three times my eyes got watery. I can't believe it. My whole life is based on a lie. And not only that. My real family hates me. My mom hates the air I breathe. And my dad's tried to kill me several times. And I'm a dark elf and a winged horn tail serpant?! What does that even mean?!

"Harry, here is the other one." The goblin sitting in front of me seemed rather enraged at the moment. (Is enraged the right word? Oh well. Continuing.)

Without wasting anytime I placed the birth certificate on the table and started to read the other page.
