Twins and Krummy Memories

“So Krum! Whadda been up to Mate? Heard you got into a spot when the war was going on?” George asked, fiddling with his prosthetic ear.

“Yes, vhat vas mohst horrible,” Viktor shrugged, “it’s all ohver vnow.”

Fred patted the former seeker on the shoulder, “Well it’s good to see you got out ok. Heck if it wasn’t for Hermione I reckon half of us wouldn’t be here today. Well Harry n’ her anyway.”

“Vat do vou mean?”

“Well, she stopped me from being crushed by a pile of rubble, saved Remus from being killed by a death eater, got Snape to the hospital wing after her, Harry and Ron found him in the boathouse, blocked a spell from hitting Collin Creevey, and saved Draco Malfoy and Blaise Zambini from Fiendifyre in the Room of Requirement.”

“Vat about Vremus’ vife?”

Fred and George sighed n shook their heads, “Hermione didn’t get there in time, Tonks was struck down by Bellatrix LeStrange. Remus would have went with her but Hermione pulled him back, reminding him that his and Tonk’s son Teddy needed him.”

Viktor’s face glazed over, he remembered meeting the late Nymphadora Tonks at an Order meeting when Hermione, Harry and Ron were hunting Horocruxes. It had been two weeks since she had Teddy and the members were playing ‘pass the baby’.  Molly Weasley had smiled at Viktor and placed the cooing baby with changing hair in the protesting Bulgarian’s arms.

The little boy had promptly changed his hair to match Viktor's and even his eyes to the warm, dark brown that mirrored the former seeker's.

"He must like you."

He turned and came face to face with the new mother, "Vhat?"

Tonks smiled, "He only copies people whom he likes...I remember showing him a picture of my cousin Sirius and he copied it...looked just like him..."

Viktor placed a hand on her shoulder, "I am sorry for vour voss."

Tonks shook her head, "He's in a better place."

It was that night that Tonks named him Teddy's second godfather, in the case that Harry didn't make it.

"So, anyways, what brings you back to England?" George asked, bringing him back to reality.

"I am Theodore's vecond godfather. I vant to vee him."

Fred and George were dumbfounded, Viktor Krum? The Bulgarian Bon Bon Teddy's second godfather???

The twins would have stood there shocked forever if it wasn't for the shout of, "Fred! George! Viktor!"

The three men turned around to see Ginny Weasley-Potter, Luna Lovegood-Longbottom, Lavender Brown and Hermione Granger walking towards them. 

'She's still as beautiful as ever..." Viktor thought as Hermione startled him with a hug.

Hermione smiled, "What brings you back to England, Mr. Krum?"

Before he could answer, Ginny did for him, "He's giving Harry, Remus and I a break, he is Teddy's other godfather afterall."

Hermione looked at Viktor in shock, much to his amusement. She felt guilty, they had been pen-pals after the tournament, then all hell broke loose. Between destroying horocruxes, winning the war, burying the dead and the fiasco with Ron, she hadn't replied to his last letter.

Ginny's hand on her shoulder brought her out of her internal battle.

"Mia? Would you like to come back to the manor? We are all going to see Teddy."

"Sure. It's been ages since I've seen my nephew," She looked up and caught Viktor's smile as they apparated to the Potters'.
