a knights honor

when i woke up at home i find father sitting on a chair nearby me. she seems to be sleeping, father always did like to make sure her people are okay. when i sit up from the bed i am on it makes a sound which alerts father that i am up.

(artoria): (y/n) are you awake.

(y/n): yes i am, did anything happen.

(artoria): it would seem that kiritsugu is wanting us to go somewhere soon.

(y/n): i see, i will take care of sakura till than.

(artoria): you better not do that again tho. I'm your mother, i worry about you.

(y/n): of course father, can you keep irisviel safe until than father?

(artoria): of course (y/n)

i exit the room closing the door behind me. i walk down the hall to where i left sakura.

(y/n): sakura im here

as if lightning had just struck, she was infront of me giving me the biggest hug.

(sakura): papa your okay!!

(y/n): why of course, being tired wont bring me out of a fight!

(sakura): papa, im hungry.

she says as her stomach growls. of course, she hasn't eaten all day basically. i cook the meal that she wanted as a way of saying sorry.

(y/n): sakura , papa is going to be gone tonight.

(sakura): your always gone...

(y/n): ill make it home as fast as possible okay?

(sakura): fine... but you owe me ice-cream..

(y/n): as you wish.

leaving the room to find father and irisviel i find them close to a car. and take the keys from irisviel's hand. so that i could drive there, and not die.

to which she pouted and gave me the puppy dog eyes. i look defeated and hand the keys back to irisviel, after all....... she doesn't have much time to live.

(y/n): irisviel, can i see your phone.

she hands me the phone she has, and i dial kiritsugu.

(kiritsugu): what is it irisviel?

(y/n): its ruler again...

(kiritsugu): oh i see, well than ruler what do you want.

(y/n): no cheap tricks, when fighting what i guess is going to be lancer. i want to take him out fairly. he deserves to go out like a knight.

(kiritsugu): how did you know... and why do you care ruler...?

(y/n): i don't care what you do to el-melloi. just let me fight lancer as a knight.

(kiritsugu): if you think you can defeat him, go ahead than.

when we get to the building we find lancer out in the open. we have been planning to fight for a while now.

(lancer): well ruler, we fighting now. 

(y/n): yes lancer.

getting into the proper stance of two knights fighting, i summon my armor and sword. 

(y/n): by this name (y/n) pendragon prince of knights i accept this duel.

(Diarmuid): by my name Diarmuid Ua Duibhne knight of fianna i also accept this duel.

we walk towards each other, hit our weapons together, and than jump backwards giving us enough room to duel.

Diarmuid immediately goes on the offensive, trying to not give me enough room to fight. he swings his spear cutting a bit on my face. 

(y/n): it is a shame you don't have your other spear, i would have loved to fight you at full power.

(Diarmuid): im till amazing at spear tho.

(y/n): yes, even without your other spear. you are indeed strong.

i start to go on the offensive swinging my sword in a arc, which he blocks. but i use my mana burst to push him back. i jump forward swinging so i could catch him off guard.

(Diarmuid): wow, your strength is no joke.

he says as blocks another attack but gets sent into a part of the building. 

(Diarmuid): I've got it, all i need to do is avoid your attacks.

him going in again. you swing the sword down, but he side steps it, you widen your eyes and he goes into a attack. starting to thrust with his spear you block it with your sword. 

it was time, you pull off the seal on your blade, the surrounding area started to glow golden even more. you swing again putting prana burst into every swing you have. braking the ground around you.

lancer seems as though he is out of energy. to bad his master is essentially useless. 

you swing your sword another time knocking his spear away from you. and stab him ending your duel. blood goes out of his mouth. he seems to smile.

(Diarmuid): man, you are really strong. thanks...

(y/n): why are you thanking me.

(Diarmuid): in my past life, i didn't die with honor. so i thank you (y/n), you have granted my wish.

(y/n): no problem, maybe in a different time. we could be friends.

(Diarmuid): maybe, that would be pretty cool. goodbye ruler.

(y/n): goodbye lancer.

lancer seems to drift off. blue light surrounds him illuminating the the place around you. when a bang is heard.

you turn to find el-malloi dead, after all. that was part of kiritsugu's original plan.

(kiritsugu): i dont see why you had to give him that.

(y/n): you know nothing of what it means to be a knight kiritsugu.

(kiritsugu): no matter how you say it, it still is killing someone.

(y/n): yes, but it is not to bring honor to me. but to show respect for the person im fighting against.

(kiritsugu): you are just trying to sugar coat what it is.

(y/n): maybe, but i think he deserves respect for who he is.

with that i go back to the car, irisviel and father join me there. going back to the house. it was quiet. till irisviel seemed to try to lighten the mood.

(irisviel): im sorry ruler, it seems my husband upset you.

(y/n): do not apologize for something that is not your fault master.

(irisviel): i just don't want you to be mad at him.

(y/n): yes, i understand master. i don't hate him, i just don't like him.

(father): yes, i agree with (y/n) here. we must obey the code, do that we can show respect for the people we are fighting.

we get to the house after a while. i go into the room where sakura is and sit by the bed. sakura is unconscious and i just sit there for a while, and than find myself going to sleep too. with ,y vision fading to black.
