There Secret

Chapter 3

Romeo POV

It has been about two weeks since we started the babysitting job and things were going good. Right now we were sitting down watching a movie on one of the lacrimas. All of a sudden the news channel interrupts the movie. "Breaking news. As of this morning it has been confirmed that Haru and Ellie (random last name) have been found dead. There murderer has yet to be found. Also-" I shut the lacrima off before it continued. I looked towards the kids to see the shocked and horrified faces they had. I quickly wrap them in a hug along with Wendy. They quickly break down and start sobbing. "It isn't true right? There okay right?" Izuku asks desperately. "I wish it was. I'm so sorry you have to go through this." I say tightening the hug allowing them to let it all out. Denki doesn't even know what's happening with all the crying he started crying too. A while later there sobs subside and I look down to see that they cried themselves to sleep. I look towards Wendy and say "I'm going to take them to there rooms and let them sleep." She only nods at what I say as she gets up and goes to bring Denki to his room. I use my fire to create arms to carry the boys to there rooms. Of course making it so they don't get burned. After I brought the boys to there rooms I went back to see Wendy in the room waiting for me. I walk over and sit down next to her. "What are we going to do who's going to take care of them now they don't have any relatives." she says "Welll why don't we take care of them we can take them back with us to Magnolia and they can stay with us." I say. "Are you sure? I mean I would gladly do it but do you think we can?" she asks "Yeah I mean we go on missions for money and I can buy an apartment for us to live in." I say. "Alright we'll talk to them when they wake up. For now let's get all our plans on order." she says

Time Skip

The boys are now awake and back in the room all with saddened faces. "Alright guys I know this is really hard for you but we need to discuss something. Me and Wendy were talking about taking you with us to Magnolia and looking after you. What do you say?" I ask them. What I was not expecting was for them all to jump on me "Thank you! Thank you!" they kept saying over and over again. "It's alright we're happy to do this." I tell them. "Alright how about you guys go pack your things and we'll get ready to leave." Wendy says. They nod and run off to pack there things. Wendy and I go back to our room to pack our things. Once everything is packed we head back to see the kids in the room ready to go. "Alright let's grab Denki's bag and we can go." I tell them. Wendy runs off to grab his bag. Once she comes back we leave to head back to our guild. On the way we explain things to them like how me and Wendy's relationship is a secret. They all seem to understand.

Time Skip

We each Magnolia and head to the guild. When we reach the guild I take a deep breath preparing for what's about to happen before opening the doors. As soon as I do the guild hall becomes silent. "Uh Wendy, Romeo why do you have kids with you?" Lucy asks the obvious question. "We'll explain everything later but first we need to talk to the master." I tell them "What is it you'd like to discuss child?" I hear master ask. I look over to see him sitting at the bar. "It would be better if we discuss this privately" I say. He nods and signals us to follow him. He leads us into his office. Once we are in his office he asks us to explain what's going on. I interrupt him by putting my hand up telling him to stop. I smell the air before sighing and walking to the office door. I open the door only for Natsu, Lucy, and Gray to fall in. "Could you leave us alone this is an important matter and we will explain later so if you could not listen in on our private conversation that would be great." I say with annoyance in my voice. They go to protest before seeing masters stern look. They quickly get up and scramble away from the door. I sigh before turning back to the master. "Do you have any runes we can put up so they don't hear us?" I ask him. He nods before getting the runes out of his desk and setting them up he asks us once again to explain. After explaining the situation he looks at us with a serious looks and says "I don't doubt that you can do this but are you sure you want to it's a hard job to look after children?" "We definitely want to do this if it's to help these kids i'll do it." I say confidently. He nods his head before looking up at us with a small smile "Alright thank you for informing me of this you may go and do what you need now." he tells us. We nod and leave the room. Once outside his office we look over to see the entire guild looking at us expectantly. I sigh and shake my head. I look over at Wendy before leaning over and whispering "Take them and go look for an apartment I have a lot of jewel saved up from secret missions so don't worry about the price." I lean back to see her nod and start walking away. She walks out of the guild with the kids as I walk over to an empty table and standing on it "Alright I know you all have questions about what's going on so ask away" I say. All at once they start asking questions. "One at a time! One at a time!" I tell them. They calm down and Mira asks the first question. "So who were those kids?" she asks " That was Izuku, katsuki, Shoto, and Denki. Wendy and I took a job to babysit them while there parents were away. Unfortunately while they were away they were killed by an unknown person. So since they had no one to look after them me and Wendy are going to look after them." I say. "Why should this be your guys problem. Just dump them on someone else" surprisingly it was Lexus who asked this. But that was a very poor question because once he asked it I leaked a little killer intent that scared all guild members present and made a few of the weaker ones back away. "I would never do something like that. When they lost there parents only Wendy and I were there to comfort them. They are going through something kids there age shouldn't go through. So if I can make them happier even if looking after them is all I can do, than that's what i'll do." I at with anger dripping from my voice. The amount of anger in my voice made him back away a little in fear. I calmed down before asking "Anymore questions?" They all shake there heads afraid to anger me again. I nod and start walking toward the entrance of the guild. "Where are you going Romeo?" my dad asks "I'm going to find Wendy so I can help look for an apartment with her and the kids. Sorry to say this dad but i'm going to be moving out." I tell him. He looks surprised but nods understanding. I walk out of the guild to go find Wendy. Thanks to my enhanced senses it didn't take long. I walk up to her giving her a quick hug and a kiss on the cheek before asking "Did you find any good apartments?" "Yeah but it's pretty expensive." she says "How much?" I ask "150,000 jewel a month" she says a little worried about the price "Alright I was expecting worse. With how much I have saved I think we should be able to last a few years" I say surprising her. "How much exactly do you have saved?" she asked "About 10.8 million jewel if I remember correctly." I say casually. "10.8 million?!? How many jobs did you take?!" she asks shocked at how much I have "Remember with my strength most jobs are pretty easy so I can get a lot of them done quickly" I say reminding her about me being half demon. She nods remembering. "Alright take me to the place so I can sign the contract." I tell her. She nods and leads the way. We reach the apartments and it's a good sized place. I walk in and go to the man at the desk. "Hi I was wondering if I could rent one of these apartments?" I ask. "Sure how many people would be staying with you?" he asks. "Including me about 6 people." I tell him. "Alright you can move your things in today I just need a first payment." he says. "Alright thank you." I say handing him the money. I walk back outside to see Wendy just standing there with the kids. "I got the apartment we can move our things in today." I tell them.They nod and we go get our things. We stop at Fairy Hills first to get Wendy's things. No one was there so we just got her things and went to my house to get my things. Unfortunately my father was there. "Hey Romeo. What are you doing here?" he asks "I'm here to grab my things to move to the apartment." I said. He looked a little sad that I was moving out. "Hey i'll come and visit from time to time and you'll still see me at the guild." I assure him. He looks up and nods realizing what I said was true. I went upstairs and packed the clothes and things I need. I walk back down to see the kids hiding behind Wendy since there not used to talking to people. I walk up to my dad and said "Looks like this is goodbye for now. I'll probably be in the guild tomorrow." He nods his head and wraps me in a hug saying goodbye. After a few moments he let go and we left for the new apartment.
