Before its to late

the truth is finally breaking through

Ellie could not stop thinking about Luke's Secret. She wanted the truth. SHe headed over to Julie's house and knocked on the door when she was surprised with a man.  

"Hello, How can I help you." The man said

"Hi my name is Ellie Patterson, I am looking for Julie. Is she home?" I said 

I then saw Julie walk down the stairs.

"Dad... I see you have met Ellie- I-um I -I tutor her, haha yes I she is here to study for music." Julie said with a fake smile on her face.

"Ahh yes she is helping me sing" I said covering for her. 

"Oh, okay then you to have fun!" Julie dad said letting me through. 

We headed to the garage and walked in, It was still awkward that I met my dead brother and i never knew him in general so I didn't know how to greet him, do I hug him?

We open the door and I am immediately greeted with a huge hug from Luke. (The ghosts can feel her too btw) 

"Hey Ellie!!!!" Luke said super happy

"Hey Luke, What's going on?" I ask 

"Nothing much we are just practicing for our next gig we decided we are going to perform the song that started this all! Its called bright!

"Lemme see" I said 

The performed the song and it was AMAZING! I was so lucky to be the sister of LUKE! 

"Do you sing?" Luke asked me 

"Umm well I mean I have played around with a few songs but they are not done." I said with embarrassment

"That's okay sing the song we just performed, I wont judge I believe in you" Luke said and I finally felt good!

I sang the song bright and gave them what they wanted

"bright forever-rrrrrrr" I finished the song and got a standing ovation by the boys

"Your amazing Ellie! I smell a future banmate coming on..." Luke said

"I like playing solo, I think. Besides you guys are to good to have someone join! I have a gig at my school dance in a few weeks so I have to start preparing for that." I said 

Luke then said out of nowhere "I can perform a duet with you" He said "I mean it would be fun getting to know you better!" 

"Really Luke? You would do that for me?" I said a smile forming on my face

"Why wouldn't I? You are so talented!" I gave him a huge hug.

I finally decided to ask, I feel Like we have grown closer so I was going to do it. 

I finally spoke up and said, "Hey Luke um- um can we talk? 

He said "Sure whats up?"

"No can we talk in private outside?" I said

He slowly replied "Um okay" I could tell he wasn't as excited anymore

"I know there is somethings you don't want me to know, but I just want to know more about you! "

"Okay!! I wanna learn more about you to!"

"Okay first question, what happened between you and mom?" I asked

"I already told you I don't want to talk about that!"  He said

"That's exactly what i thought you were going to say" I said

Luke broke he screamed "JUST STOP ASKING ME I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT!"

I then yelled back in anger " Why not! I have lived 14 years not knowing a thing about you, I have lived in lies and they won't tell me anything! I live in my room 24-7 looking for answers! My whole life was a mistake, I was only born because mom and dad thought it would ease the pain but it just made it worse. So i am invisible to them. They never talk to me, if anyone asks if they have kids they say no. I AM TIRED OF LIVING IN THE SILENCE! I cant bring you up without getting yelled at. I had enough, that's why I ran away.  Mom and dad don't let me go anywhere and I am trapped inside a bubble! Then I finally met you! The one who actually gets me, who makes me happy, and understands me. I think I will get my answers but even you shut me out. WHY! PLEASE JUST TELL ME! I HAVE HAD ENOUGH LIVING IN THE DARK AND I JUST NEED ANSWERS PLEASE LUKE PLEASE!" I felt like I poured my whole heart out and to be honest it didn't feel as bad as I thought. 

"I never knew you felt like that. Fine you want answers? I will give it to you. It was back in 1995, I had told mom that I was going on tour and she wasn't okay with it, she never understood my passion and didn't want her 17 year old son in a rock band. Just like you i had enough, Me and mom got in a huge fight and I ran out the door. I would always sneak at the house but making sure no one could see me I stayed in this garage and I didn't think much of it. A Couple weeks later me and the band were going to play at the ORPHEUM! Pretty huge right? We had just finished sound check and me reggie and alex decided to get a street dog for good luck before the show, and next thing you know were dead. You see I never got to apologize to mom and it's to late now. I had written a song for her and Julie took it to her and had her read it with dad, I was there to but they couldn't see me. That always my one regret in life, If I never was stupid enough to leave who knows I might even still be alive. I just wanted to say bye to her on last time. It's too late now, she is never going to see me and I guess I will have to live with that guilt forever. " Luke started crying 

"So that's why you took me home last night. Isn't it?" I said

"I guess" Luke said wiping the tears of his face.

"Thank you for telling me luke, and I am so sorry."

"You don't have to be sorry its my fault, I always visit home, I was actually there to blow the candles out with them for my birthday. I guess I just want to pretend I can be with them you know? Why haven't I seen you?

"I get it, and I was probably grounded in my room because I was in your room looking for answers." I said 

"Well you wanna go back inside? I  bet everyone else is worried." Luke said wiping more tears of his face

We give each other a hug and go inside

"You good man?" reggie said "I know it's tough talking about your feelings"

"REGGIE!!" Julie and alex said

"Whoops" reggie replied

"Don't worry we were not snooping or anything haha" Reggie said again

"Its fine losers haha, and yea I am good."

Luke looks at me and give me a smile "We all good :)"
