Chapter 6

Peter woke up early. He was excited to go to school. He tried getting ready fast, although it was hard. He got downstairs and saw Natasha, Steve, and Tony just talking. "Hey Peter." Nat said. He waved and said hi. Peter was about to walk out of the tower before he was stopped by Tony. "Hey, where do you think you're going? You've gotta eat something Pete." Tony said. Peter walked over to the kitchen. He took of his backpack and checked it for his bus pass. "Shoot." Peter said. "What's up kid?" Tony asked. "I'm out of buss passes, I can't get to school withiut the pass." Peter explained. "I'll drive you." Tony said. Peter was shocked, but he didn't try to fight it. He ate some cereal and got up. Him and Tony walked to the door and left. They got into Tony's Audi. They talked on the way there. "Ok, bye kid, see ya later." Tony said as he dropped Peter off. "Thank you Mr. Stark." Peter said. Tony drove away. Peter walked into the school and saw Ned and Mj waiting at the entrance. Peter tried to walk faster while trying not to fall. "Oh my God, Peter!" Mj said as she went to hug him. She never really liked hugging people, but she made an exception for Peter. She was gentle and didn't want to knock him over. Ned ran up to them. "What happened to you?" Mj asked Peter. "Uhh, it's a long story." Peter said. "How's school been while I was gone?" Peter asked. "Flash was being jealous of you, talking about how you don't deserve to be close with Mr. Stark." Ned explained. They walked inside of the school. Peter had a greeting from Flash too. "Hey Penis Parker! How'd you get that? Stark get mad at you?" Flash said. Peter ignored Flash. Since Peter had his suit on him, Tony was able to see and hear everything that Peter did or said. Peter wasn't a fan of that protocol. He felt like it was an invasion of privacy. Peter got annoyed sith Flash for being so rude to him. If he only knew that Peter was Spider Man, the person Flash claimed to have made a big impact on his personality. "Incoming call from Mr. Stark, should I answer?" Karen said from his suit. "Just message him and say that I'll talk later, I'm busy right now." Peter whispered. His suit was connected to his phone, so he could send messages from his suit. Peter had Chemistry class and got his science things from his bag so he didn't have to carry around a heavy backpack. His phone and suit were both in his bag which was in his locker. He completely forgot about his phone until near the end of school. He checked his phone to see a ton of missed calls and texts from Mr. Stark. He had forgotten to call Tony back. He immediately went to the bathroom and called Tony back. It took less than a minute for him to answer. "Kid, why haven't you been answering my calls or texts?" Tony asked. "I'm gonna be completely honest, I left my phone in my locker, I'm sorry." Peter explained. "Ok then, I was just saying that I need to talk to you later, I know I could tell you right now, but I feel like it would be more appropriate face to face." Tony said. Peter's heart started to beat faster. "Peter calm down, I can see what's going on inside of your body, you need to calm down." Tony said. Peter breathed in and out to try to calm down. "Enjoy the rest of your day at school kid. Bye." Tony hung up. Peter wondered what Tony wanted to talk to him about so much. When he got out of school, he saw Tony pull up to the entrance. Flash was walking behind. "Hey Penis Parker, how much did you pay for Stark to drive you? Or did you beg for him to?" Flash laughed. Peter rolled his eyes and got into the car. Flash flipped him off as Peter left. Tony saw the sadness in Peter's eyes. He put his hand on Peter's shoulder. "Besides that idiot, how was your day?" Tony asked. Peter chuckled. "It was good, I got to see Mj and Ned again." Peter said. "Well that's good, you haven't seen them in a while." Tony said. They got home. Peter walked inside and went to his room to do homework. Tony walked in. "Hey Peter, remember that I said I wanted to tell you something?" Tony said. Peter nodded. He was looking at his computer, focused on his homework. Tony gently pushed the laptop scree  down, not touching his fingers. This forced Peter to look at him. "I don't want you to freak out when I tell you this but..." Tony paused. Peter was listening. "Those people that attacked us a few nights ago, they are working with Adrian Toomes. You know, that vulture guy?" Peter's eyes widened. "After you put him in jail, he wanted revenge. He sent out some people to kill you, but they continuously failed. One of them tried to kill you, but your aunt was there. They couldn't have any witnesses, so they killed her. They thought you had died until that night in the alley way." Tony explained. "I'm sorry kid." Tony said quietly. Tony looked at Peter's eyes and saw them water. "It's all my fault!" Peter exclaimed. "Pete-" Tony was cut off. "If I had just gone alone, she would've still been alive! I asked her to come with me because we went at night. It's ny fault she's dead!" Peter yelled. The other Avengers were able to hear them. "It's not your-" Tony got cut off again. "No! Stop telling me that it's not my fault! I'm done with people lying to me! It's my fault that she's not here anymore!" Peter started crying. He used his strength to rip off the cast. "Woah, woah, woah, kid, what are you doing?" Tony was concerned. Peter pushed him out of the way. He ran while limping out the door. Tony ran out of the room and out the door of the tower. He could see Peter running from a far. "Peter!" Tony yelled after him. He caught up to Peter. Hd grabbed Peter's wrist. "Let me go!" Peter yelled. The young boy who always had a smileon his face had suddenly broke out. "Peter, stop fighting it." Tony said. "I've lost everyone I ever loved! I don't need to loose you too!" Peter screamed. "I'm right here, I'm fine!" Tony tried convincing Peter, but it didn't work. "That's how it always starts! They start out fine then something bad happens!" Peter said. Tony wanted Peter to realize that he was going to be ok. "Everyone would be better off if I died!" Peter exclaimed. That caused Tony to let go of Peter. He was shocked by what the teen just said. "Peter, I know you're scared right now, but it's going to be ok. You're safe in the Tower. No one can get you or anyone else. Peter looked down and the concrete. Tony pulled him in for a hug. "I'm sorry." Peter whispered.
