A few stories I have come up with about JJ and Emily from Criminal Minds. I will add to this whenever I can. In some chapters, JJ and Emily could be finding love, and in others, things could be getting spicy. Just right for a bedtime story ; ) These...
*LISTENED TO TOXIC BY BRITNEY SPEARS WHILE I WROTE THIS IT WAS VERY INSPIRATIONAL*
*LOTS OF TOP ENERGY OF JJ*
*POV JJ*
I walked up the stairs into the jet. My emotions were stirring. Kids were always a tough subject for me when they were involved in cases. Their innocence stripped away while trauma floods their lives. It just broke my heart. I couldn't even imagine that happening to a child of my own. All I wanted to do was let it all out and scream, but that would be unprofessional.
Everyone got settled and the plane took off. Hotch noticed I was feeling down so he approached me, "Hey JJ. Are you doing alright?"
"What? Ya, I'm fine." I faked a smile and sat down. He walked away and sat next to Prentiss. I saw him lean over and whisper something into her ear. She nodded and looked back at me. Her eyes were deep and soulful, so full of love, like the love I had for her. But she didn't know about that. She was dating Hotch. How could I compete? She seemed happy with him, so why should I disrupt that.
Rossi walked over and offered me a drink. I gladly accepted and downed it immediately.
"Slow down there," he said, a slight laugh in his tone, "That cost me half my salary when I first joined this team."
"Well fuck. Why would you do that?" I asked, trying to lighten the mood and hide my true feelings.
"I would do a lot of things for good liquor." he joked. I was done for the day. Everything seemed pointless. I was about to lay down to go to sleep when Emily walked up to me, coffee in hand. She put one cup in front of me as she sat down and patted my knee,
"You sure you're okay?" she asked, her eyes searched for mine but I looked away. I couldn't look at her or I was going to say something. Something I shouldn't say out loud.
"Emily," I tried to sound convincing, "I am totally fine. Don't worry."
"Okay. I'll be back there if you want to talk about it." she hooked a thumb back toward the front of the jet.
"Okay."
It was late and everyone was tired. One after the other they conked out, all falling asleep. A little later, I followed Emily for a refill. She stood there stirring her drink, steam rising from the rim. I started to pour the hot liquid into my mug.
"Hey," Emily set her hand on my forearm, "What's up."
"Oh, nothing. It's just the kids." I said, my voice quivered.
"Ya, I figured. I know how you are with cases like these." she really cared. I knew she did.
"You do?"
"Ya. Children are hard for you to see hurt." her tone was comforting.
"Everyone feels that way." I tried to explain.
She looked me in the eye making me feel a little uncomfortable, "It's different for you. I understand that. You have the right to feel terrible. Just know that you can talk to me about it."
"Thank you." I looked down masking my smile. She was the only person who could make me smile on a day like this. The grin faded pretty quickly.
"JJ," her hand reached around my jaw and lifted it so our eyes met. Her eyes sparkled which made my heart skip a beat. I noticed them glance at my lips before looking back up at me, "Seriously, I'm here if you need me to do anything," she glanced down again, "Anything."
Tears started to fall down my cheeks and I closed my eyes. I felt her wrap her arms around me so I hugged her as well.
