"Dear Harry,

Happy Birthday! I haven't heard from you all summer, but I hope these letters have been at least getting to you. I can't believe school is starting in a few months it feels like it's been ages! Anyway, I miss you and I hope you'll right back soon.

Love, your sister Honey'

Honey finished her letter and quickly sealed the envelope with an elegant silver wax before she held out the letter for Melantha to grab.

"You know what to do Mel, fly safely." She kindly dismissed her bird with a sad smile.

Harry hadn't written her a single letter all summer and she was deeply worried. She was starting to think maybe he hated her, or worse he was in danger.

Honey thought about the present she had for Harry, that lay stashed under her bed with her paints. She would send it to Harry but she'd rather give it to him in person than by owl. She was far too anxious that he was avoiding her anyway.

She pushed herself to stand from her desk and walked out to her large cabinet of dresses.

She had to get ready her father had told her he had planned for them to have an amazing day in honor of her twelfth birthday.

She quickly pulled out a simple yellow summer dress and slid it over her shoulders.

She turned herself to look in the mirror, she span just slightly to admire how the dress looked on her. Honey was lucky enough to look amazing in pretty much anything.

She had grown a few inches over the summer so the dress fell a bit higher on her legs than she had been used to, but it wasn't short enough for her to feel uncomfortable with the length.

She gave one last full spin admiring the dress before she walked to her bathroom.

She quickly tied her hair up into a high ponytail with a piece of ribbon, remembering to make sure she pulled two out the two slightly longer pieces of her bangs that framed her face perfectly.

Once she was content in her look she walked from her bathroom back to her bed, where she quickly pulled on her small black converse.

Honey thought about the time she had spent during the summer as she tied in her shoes, she had asked Madam Pomfrey to teach her some basic medical skills, she had volunteered to help Silvanus Kettleburn with some of the magical creatures that he took care of, she helped Hagrid whenever she could, and in any of her remaining free time, she spent the time being as physically active as she could. Basically anything but put her nose in a book.

She took one deep breath as she stood up before exiting her room to find her father sitting in their living room, looking particularly polished considering he almost always wore the same robes. It kinda scared her that he was wearing something different.

But instead of worrying Honey let out a small giggle, after all, it was sweet how hard the man was trying.

"Well don't you look dashing!" Honey smilled as she walked into her living room, she felt very underdressed at the sight of her father but pushed it to the back of her mind, after all, it was her favorite summer dress.

Her father raised an eyebrow at her before he stood from his chair. He moved to stand next to the girl and extended his elbow out for her to grab.

"Before we can go... Dumbledore has requested to see you," Severus said as he turned them to walk out the door.

"Do I get to know what we are doing today?" Honey asked raising her eyebrow at her father like she's seen him do many times before.

"Let's just say we are both overdressed." The man said simply forcing his face to stay blank.
