A/N: Hehehe I had no idea that was gonna happen, I only got to read the first few sentences before it was published. I couldn't wait to finish, so here I am!! :3

Mitch's POV

A single tear ran down my face as I watched Jerome scramble away from me. I was completely sober, but I just needed one little kiss. I just figured he'd assume I was drunk, but I wasn't. I had filled my bottle with water before I came out of the kitchen with drinks. I didn't even have a drop of alcohol..but he didn't know that. I guess he hated it so...I could pretend to forget tomorrow? Would that work? I've made a grave mistake. I have a girlfriend! I'm straight! HE'S straight! What have I done? What will we do!? What will I do!? Another tear cascaded down my face as I pressed my fingers to my lips. I laid down on the couch and stared at the ceiling, thinking. Soon, I heard footsteps as Jerome wandered back downstairs. He looked at me with angst...or was it...wonder? He looked at me with wonder!? He made a show of picking up my phone, going to Lizzie's messages, and handing it to me. I took the phone and called her, as she picked up on the forth ring. "Hey babe, what's happening?" Jerome nodded slowly as I told her about the party, leaving out the kiss. "Haha, well I hope you had fun! Don't drink too much, you might end up making out!" She laughed and I stiffened, unable to respond. "Love you!" She said, waiting for me to say it back. I stood numbly as I hung up, looking at Jerome. "You didn't say it back?" Jerome asked, clearly surprised. I looked at him and ran for the door, going to the only place I could think of. Kreamer's.

I ran in the building, soaking wet from the pouring rain. I walked to a table in the corner and sat down. The manager we saw yesterday came over and sat down a straight up black coffee. I reached for my wallet when she stopped me and said, "No charge. Not because you're famous. But you look like you need it. Let me guess, you kissed him?" I nodded meekly. "You're confused, he didn't give you any sign of acknowledgement?" I nodded once again, too depressed to care how she guessed. "And the only place you could think of going to was here." She finished. I looked up at her with amazement. "How'd you know all that?" I asked, finally curious. "Experience." she responded simply. "But don't worry. I see the way he looks at you. There's nothing to worry about." I nodded again, wishing I could believe her. She left, and I drowned myself in thought, wincing as I sipped the strong coffee. It helped. I didn't say I love you back to her. I couldn't. I can't lie to her. I need to break up with her. Suddenly I got a text. It was from Adam.

"Jerome told me what happened, he's standing outside the house. GO."

I thanked the manager and ran. The pouring rain whipped through my hair. But I ran. I was freezing cold, but I ran. I ran for warmth. I ran for Jerome. I ran for ME. I finally stopped a foot away from Jerome and looked him in the eye. "You weren't drunk." He said slowly, as if planning his words carefully. "You meant to do that." He said. I nodded. He stepped close to me like he would kiss me on the cheek, but he went for my ear, whispering, "You're shivering Mitch," He whispered. A chill ran down my spine from his breath against my ear. Then I remembered that he closed the distance. He kissed me earlier. My eyes widened in surprise as I looked him in the eyes.

Was it really a mistake after all?.
